payment. Customer has never expressed any dissatisfaction with our final  product. This Revdex.com complaint looks to be in response to our case in small claims court filed  on July 30, 2015, demanding payment. The Above Ground Pool & Spa Company has delivered and properly installed all items purchased as per our contract and is waiting for payment from **. [redacted].

Expansive soil, also called shrink-swell soil, is a very common cause of swimming pool problems. Depending upon the supply of moisture in the ground, shrink-swell soils will experience changes in volume of up to thirty percent or more. Foundation soils which are expansive will “heave” and can cause...

lifting of a pool or other structure during periods of high moisture. Conversely during periods of falling soil moisture, expansive soil will “collapse” and can result in pool settlement. Either way, damage can be extensive. These problems are not covered by any above ground pool warranty. They in no way are caused by “poor installation”  Shrink-swell soils which have expanded due to high ground moisture experience a loss of soil strength or “capacity” and the resulting instability can result in various forms of foundation problems and slope failure. Expansive soil should always be a suspect when there is evidence of active swimming pool movement. No above ground pool dealer is able to guarantee against these issues. The customer has told us 4 other pool companies have inspected the pool, we have asked for the reports on several occasions. We have never received them. We did give the customer an estimate to re-level the pool, 3.5 years after it was installed. The customer declined the repair, because of cost. ($1400) He did offer to pay $700. We would respectfully suggest that one of the companies that bid the repair at $500 might be a better choice. We feel this customer has been disingenuous in his dealings with our company. The pool was purchased in June 2012, not the "summer of 2013". I have attached his original e mail (dated 8/11/2014) stating the pool was installed “ a little over 2 years ago”.
