In response to the complaint regarding a dog escaping from our boarding facility, Yes he did He escaped from a locked cage on the evening of July 3rd, he had been boarding with us for a few days before and the evening of the 3rd there were some very loud fireworks going off near the
resort, which may have prompted his fight or flight instinct. He made his way through several interior doors, made his way to our obedience room where there is a very heavy exterior door that the employees have to really push shut for the handle to latch, it is a very difficult door to open even if the door is not latched He some how managed to make his way out the door into a fenced yard where he proceeded to pancake himself to get under a gate in the yard which has maybe a 4" clearance from the ground to the bottom of the gate and took off.Our staff immediately contacted the owner when they saw he was not in his cage and spent all day Saturday and Sunday looking for him The Owners were contacted and told what had happened. We got reports of people who had seen the dog and the owner of the kennel immediately went to speak to the people who had spotted him, even brought one of her own dogs to try to track him We knew exactly the area he had been seen the whole time When the owners arrived they too went to the area to search and saw him, called him and the dog stopped, looked at them and took off again The owners left food out for him, he was eating but never spotted while feeding. He was finally live trapped, had a few ticks, and scratches, was taken to his current vet for an exam. The owner was refunded for his boarding and vaccines that he was given when he arrived. We apologized to the owner profusely and did everything we could to find their dog.All the staff has been made aware of the incident and the problem with the door has been rectified It was an unfortunate accident and we did all that we could to find the dog and get him back with his owner

Review: we had our dog at angelcare pet resort while we went on vacation.they notified us that somehow he escaped sometime between 8 pmfriday night 7/3/15 and 7 am 7/4/15,they notified us around 11:30 am 7/4/15.they have done basically nothing to help find our dog.as this time of complaint he is still out there somewhere.Desired Settlement: they need to find my dog it was lost while in their professional care, they are not responding to anymore messages.
