In response to MsS***'s complaint: We are sincerely sorry about your home invasion that happenedSecurity systems have no way of preventing these things from happening only to assist when and if they do occurWe do offer several different products and services, one of which being the
Alarm.com camera that was included with your purchase= It was explained to you that these cameras do not record 24/and will only record when you, the customer set it to recordAll of your recordings are stored onlineOur technicians will set the cameras to record when the alarm goes off, but other video clips are only generated based on how you set them upI.Eany time the camera detects motion, or when a door is opened, etcAll of our installers are trained to go over this with our customers and the agreement that you sign once the installation is complete states that you have been properly trained and understand that it is your responsibility to configure your system exactly the way that you want it to workThe salesman that you are referring to was not terminated, he resigned amicably for a position in another profession, however our sales team is trained to let customers know that cameras have the ability to generate recorded video clips hours a day as long as the customer sets them upWe also set up redundancies to make sure that this is completely understood even before a contract is signedThe salesman lets you know the features of the system, the technician installs the system and shows you how to use it, You read and sign an agreement, and our monitoring company also conducts a recorded post-install phone survey to make sure that you feel comfortable using your system and understand how it works.At any time during the months that you had the system, if you felt like you needed more training or did not understand how to use/set up your cameras to record more clips, we would have been more than happy to send a technician to your home, free of charge, to go over the system with you again and educate you furtherWe did not receive any communications from you saying that you needed more training or that you needed help setting up your cameras a particular way. The system that we sold you did come with a year service agreement which explained how the system works in full detail and also our responsibilities to the customer, and the customers responsibilitiesI am sorry that you had a bad experience with us and even more sorry that you had to go through the break-inI know these are traumatic events and can leave people feeling uneasyThe payments that you made for the system were made not to us, but to the Monitoring Center, therefore we don't have payments to refundPlease contact your monitoring center regarding any refundsMsS*** refused to pay for the services after August and defaulted her contractWe did agree however that if we could get the equipment back from MsS*** that we would compensate her $because the equipment is valuable to usIf we can get our equipment back then we will be happy to nullify the contractThe entire agreement is attachedPlease see the following: (Page 1 , sections 1-3), (page 2, section 6), (page 6, sections & 15), and (page 9, section A3)
