Angelo Carile criminal charges
After several attempts to get my deposit back (I believe Carile may have a drug addiction), even when it was agreed to. I filed criminal charges for grand theft. Carile cooperated with the court an I finally got back my deposit. Case closed on a bad decision to hire this con.

1/4/12:pm Telephone response obtained as follows:The company stated that the consumer did not cancel the contract, by law they had days to cancel. The company stated they have a written contract and a refund will not be issuedThe company stated that the contract does state that the consumer is responsible for obtaining all permits and that the consumer waited until the last minute to get the permit. The company stated they were informed by the consumer that they were not able to get the permit due to the city stating the consumer was not qualified to do the work but the company stated that it was too late in the season to start the job at that point. The company stated they did tell the consumer that they have him as the first job to do in spring

1/22/additional comments copied and pasted from consumer's e-mail received on 1/19/as follows: In addition I should have said that:It was not that I tried to obtain a permit at last minute that wasC***'s issue, it was C***'s idea to postpone the work until springbecause he said the bond was going to be $and he wanted to have achance to recoup it with jobs in that city the following work year.C*** was well aware of the permitting issue prior to the secondcontract dated September 30, 2017. That was the whole reason for it. Icould not obtain the permit for the garage demo and new metal garage. Itold C*** early on that I talked with North Olmsted's buildingdepartment's assistant commissioner and found out that it was arequirement to be living in the residence to have a homeowner apply forthe permit, which I was not. I also told him that according to thecity, a contractor must be registered with them before that can workwithin the city limitsHowever, I'm sure he is well aware of that anyway. There was still plenty of time to do the jobOut of frustration withthe permitting issue, around mid September, I contacted Mark N*** ofN*** Building Company and set up a meeting with him and C*** at theproperty. After some discussion with C*** at that meeting, N*** waswilling to be the general contractor and provide the work required toraise up the garage in order for C*** to pour the garage floorThatwould have placed the burden of obtaining the permits on Mark N***In a turn of events, after C*** initially stated that it would be costprohibitive to jack up the garage and cheaper to just demo the oldgarage and have a metal garage put up after the new slab was in place,C*** bid lower than N*** for the work of raising the garage andperforming some additional repairs that are now included in the secondcontract. After signing the second contract and having everyone well aware of thepermitting issue, I was told verbally by Carlile that the job wouldbegin in two weeks and had the understanding that C*** was going to beresponsible for the permit this time (no mention of owner obtainingpermit in second contract). However, after more excuses and delays,C*** surprised me by saying that he couldn't start because I stillhadn't applied for the permitsHowever, I believe this was just anotherexcuse to delay the job further.C*** was still determined to have me get the permits and encouraged meto deceive the city into thinking that I was doing the work myself witha friend and that I resided at the property to get around hisrequirementsHe had me email the permit application to him and then hefilled it out and sent it back for me to submit. I explained howuncomfortable I felt going to city hall and having to face the assistantcommissioner of building based on my initial conversation I had with himon the phone. I informed C*** that he was going to be very thoroughin his determination as to whether or not I was qualified and I would beseen as incompetent, which I amI told C*** that it was necessary togo through him according to the secretary that issued the permitapplicationC*** stated that this was why he didn't like working withNorth Olmsted's building department. C*** also told me he didn't wanta public record of the job because he could save money by not reportingthe income to the IRS.As instructed by C***, I submitted the permit applicationDays later,I received a phone call from the assistant commissionerHe haddetermined that I did not seem qualified to perform the work myself andany friend that was attempting to perform the work is required toregister with the city and apply for a permit. I contacted C*** andit was at this time that he stated that he would take care of thepermits, bonding etcI believe that as another excuse and delay tactic,C*** then informed me by telephone that it would be more costeffective for him to do the job in the spring. I agreed, but only withthe deposit refunded and a new contract in the springThe originalcontract is not accurate anymore because the garage demo is not requiredand the sidewalk description and plan is to vague.Although he agreed to my requests, he never intended to fulfill them. After several excuses and delays as to when the refund would be givenback, C***, as if there was never an agreement to refund the deposit, sent me a text message stating "I am holding you to the contract asdiscussed you are first in line in March or April weather permitting Tostart your project their are no refund of deposits Tank you". Sayingthese things were discussed is a lie.It is my belief that the lies, excuses and delays will only continueindefinitely. After his text to me, I have completely lost faith inthis contractor ever completing the projectI don't know how faith canever be restored. I just want my deposit back now. I believe thatAngelo C*** may be perpetrating a fraudI find it difficult havinghim back on my property
