Purchased a vehicle that was defective since the time it was driven off the lot. Angelo's has been unwillingly to address the issues.I purchased a 2004 Audi from Angelo's Auto Sales and Car Repair in 11/4/2013. He told me at the time that he had just got it and hadn't had a change to look over it. He told me to take the car anyway and that he would address the issues later. There was a check engine light on in the vehicle upon receipt. The light remained on in the vehicle from November 2013 till January 2014. During the time I've had the car it has been in and out of the shop more than 6 times and at one point they had my car for 2 weeks and in that time put 600 miles on a car that was supposed to be getting fixed which was more than half of the listed warranty miles on the contract making the warranty almost void within a month. There have been consistent issues with the vehicle especially regarding the inspection rejection for several months and a continuous radiator leak. I believe based on the fair market value according to the Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds that this car has been overpriced to sell at least 3 times the value and other car dealers have stated that I was not provided proper pricing. During a conversation with the owner [redacted] he stated to me that these cars are going for $4000.00 at auction and I replied well I paid almost $19,000.00. This car was a lemon since purchase and he got out of having to take the car back by using his repair shop as a way to delay the time frame for the lemon law. I am a single mother with 2 kids driving an unsafe vehicle.Desired SettlementI am a single mother with 2 kids and this car is unsafe. It continuly overheats daily and the rims are so corroded that the air releases from the tires daily. I asked him to take the car back and to give me something comparable to what is left on the amount of the loan. I just want to be safe with my kids. This car was not worth the money since purchase and I have been trying to get some resolution from this company and they are unwilling to do ANYTHING..How do you sell a car to someone that is almost the price of a brand new vehicle and it is barely driveable. I want him to take the car back and give me a safer vehicle or take it back and wipe the loan so I can purchase one from a place that stands behind their sale.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@yahoo.comIn regards to this case we categorically disagree and feel that this is an attempt to extort my dealership for a vehicle that the customer has been driving for over 2 years. We respectfully request that any issues from this case be looked at with skepticism and to let you know that she has contacted us before and that when she was not compensated monetary wise, or with a new car, she said she was going to contact you and then make you tell us to give her money. If there is a problem with the car we have offered to help her, but she refused. She says that she owes 19000 for the car but per her loan paperwork and the bank that is totally a falsehood. [redacted] Retail when she purchased the car was 9950. After tax title and an additional warranty she financed 10745. I do not mean to paint her in a bad light, but the truth is what it is. Again 2 years ago, this could have been addressed. Now it has become an extortion attempt. She has had no complaints. When we told her no to buying back her car filled with baby puke, feces and over 70000 miles added to it she lost her temper. She wants to change the car without paying off the loan, which we cant do. She has no money or job, yet wants a loan. This is the same person who referred customers to us as well as family. A dissatisfied person doesn't do that. If we can look at the car we will. If there are problems we will try to fix them but we cannot be held responsible 2 plus years and 70000 later. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have had this car only since 11/13, which is not two years. I have had this car actually detailed in full inside and out multiple times, so as to how it is "covered with feces and baby puke" is a shot at the fact that I am a mother and is completely unacceptable. I have contacted this company several times about problems concerning the car only to be told to come on down and it would be looked at. Again, with two small children as I am patiently waiting for my car to be looked at for hours upon hours after being told to come at a certain time. This problem has been addressed numerous times and just to be given a run around over and over again. It is funny how I am not being "discredited,' but yet it is being said that I have no job and/or money. However, I put down $1500 cash last minute after my previous car was totaled. I've also had the same job just as long as I've had the car, so that makes absolutely no sense as to how this business is not trying to "discredit me." I was referred by a friend to this business only because she knew they will approve any one, and in fact, she has just as much as a skeptical car with them, where she possesses the title since day one, but yet hasn't even paid off the car. If that had been known before I had looked into a car, I would have never took a chance in trying to make business with a company looking for a quick buck. Again, about three weeks after purchasing this car, I had called [redacted] and told him I was not interested n this car any longer and wanted to return it. I was told that was not an option and I could not get out of it, so I tried to continuously work with the business in getting this car fixed. The owner had allowed me to drive his cars he was selling for extended periods of time with a dealer plate on them, well until he was caught doing so and was then fined for illegal use and threatened have it taken away. The point of this complaint is not to "Get out of paying a loan or to receive money" the sole purpose is this car should have never been sold for the money that it was. It, in only a year, is worth close to nothing and with a balance of about $7500 still to pay for about three more years. There is no way in one year of having a car it has depreciated so much. I will actually upon responding to this walk outside to this car and take pictures of the condition, completely random with no warning to "rid the feces and baby puke." Those comments are extremely offensive and should not be coming from a professional business man, said to be.Final Business Response We are willing to work with the customer, but the criteria that needs to be met are the following:1. If the vehicle is in need of repair, please let us know and we can refer you to a licensed repair shop for AUDI. We were told by the customer that her father was going to work on it, and then a school. There has been no other contact from the customer, so we have no idea as to what was been done to the car, if anything. At this point we would like a AUDI dealership to repair it as they are complicated and expensive and we do not want the liability of fixing it here.2. The customer has requested that we buy back the vehicle. Her estimate of what she owed is 7000 to [redacted]. If that is true the current market value with the added miles and condition issues (the reason that the excrement and other issues were brought up) is at best $4000. So if the customer can come up with the difference of what the car is worth plus the required $1500 down payment we will be happy to get her into another vehicle. The bottom line is that the customer has to pay for the loan. It is not the place that sold the vehicles responsibility to maintain the vehicle and or pay for it. The loan is over 18 months old.3. Angelo's liability of this car was pass the safety inspection, and the lemon law allows 1250 miles and thirty days. After that the car is the sole responsibility of the owners. the fact that it depreciates when you drive it is part of vehicle ownership. This loan was signed by the customer and accepted by the customer. Please contact us if we can be of any assistanceFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not feel that either of those answers are fair to me and they all actually would still benefit the business. I'm sure that the licensed Audi repair shop will be costly and I am apprehensive to believe all of the issues that I have been having since day one would not be fixed (i.e. antifreeze leak, no working air conditioner, and tires which have never sealed and constantly need to be brought back again to [redacted] tire where [redacted] had purchased the tires, ever since he had them installed on the car.) This is not about one sole problem with the car and I'm positive that some of them go hand in hand with either other, if not causing more problems because it has been so long that they have gone without being fixed. All of these problems have been a constant struggle with the owner time afte time. I have dug up call records since 11/14 in order to show really how many times I have called in regard to this car. I obviously would not be calling to just say hello and have a normal conversation. There are, however, several pages so I am trying to find the best way to add them to this complaint. Also, in response to the second item, that still does not make any sense as to why I would end up paying about estimated $8500 for a car and yet the owner of the business would will end up back with this car and be able to RESELL it and get MORE money on a car, which still in the end has never been worth the money and after all the money is paid, I end up with no car, unless I buy another car from him, which I will never do again. Again, there is no way in one year the car has depreciated so much just from driving it. I have taken care of oil changes and other basic maintenance of the car.How is it that in either way, me, the customer, would still end up on the wrong side of this problem? If these problems would have been taken care of the several other times that I had complained about them, we wouldn't be doing this right now. No one in this "dealership" has ever taken me seriously and has also been proven to lie continuously just within this complaint. If I have not had any thing close to a good experience with the car that I have at the present or with the customer service I have received since I have purchased, why would I want to give this company an additional $1500 on top of the estimated $8500 and nothing to show for this money? I do not want another car from this company and would highly recommend that no one would purchase anything. I am starting to believe I may have to find an attorney on top of filing this complaint with the Revdex.com in order to rightfully be acknowledged that I was sold a lemon from the beginning and "took advantage" of the fact that I am a single mother, a female, and did not know much about what I could have done when I was told by this company since the beginning of a loan that I could NOT return this car to them and I was then stuck with it.

I purchased a vehicle in August 2014 from angelos auto sales it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2005. I have had the same issue with my vehicle since I drove it off the lot. [redacted] knew as we were driving away said he would take care of it and he kept telling me a certain day to bring it down then change the day 7 times so it went to 2 weeks before it went in and came out still not fixed card again and agai. Same thing everytime so by the time I had the chance to get it back in there to be fixed the right way and still have a warrNty a aiae was impossible because he would keep putting me off. I brought it somewhere else to be fixed and they flu d out where I bought the truck and said they couldn't fix it because they had a beef with [redacted]. That same day I picked it up for. The other garage [redacted] called me because he heard I was calling the attorney general and the Revdex.com, so he wanted to fix it so I didn't report him and is now harassing me saying he's not fixing it u til he finishes the people who are paying for theres first. He's also telling me I have to pay for the rental when he can charge my warranty company for 5 days but is then saying he will keep my truck as long as needed but will charge me for the rental for as many days as he needs to and I ha e to pay for it. Told him I will drop off rental tonight and get my truck back. Now I'm contacting u and attorney General.Product_Or_Service: [redacted]Desired SettlementTruck should be a lemon same problem over and over and over check engine light on since drove off lot fixed 4 times just for that never mind the other issuesBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXIn reading this and the first letter that we have received we reached out to the customer and we were able to reach an agreement regarding specified problems. I will try to list as I go forward what we did to satisfy the customers complaints. We replaced head gaskets, new timing set, new thermostat, timing chain, we did a valve job, all for no cost to her. When she picked up the vehicle, she said that she was happy, and we both agreed to look at the truck to make sure that all the repairs are to her standards and we will further update as we continue.
