***, Thank you for your email and for the inquiry into the lighting situation in the parking lot of the stadiumWe recently switched to LED lighting last year, as an attempt to be greener as an organization, and to provide better lighting and safety for fans coming to and from the ballpark
during the evening hoursPlease know that we take the safety and security of all patrons, and vehicles in the lot very seriously, and parking lot lighting plays a key role. There are a few elements of the operation that occur after hours, post-game that are pertinent to our operation, and cannot cease, which also require lightingThe first is trash pickup and parking lot sweeping...we have sweeping trucks that run through the parking lot continuously during the night to remove any debris left behind by guests attending the gameThe necessary part of the operation is the cleaning of the stadium grounds as a wholeOur trash crew runs trash out of the stadium to our packer area, which also requires after-hours lighting We do our utmost during the offseason to turn all lights off after 8pm on non-event days, but unfortunately, the function of the stadium during baseball season necessitates the use of the parking lot lights on certain random evenings, and after ball gamesWe apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and appreciate the feedbackPlease let us know if we can be of any further assistance Have a wonderful week!
