Angel's Tire & Service, Inc. Reviews (2)

I took my 2005 [redacted] Dakota to Angel's Tire Service to have the brake's inspected. At that moment the owner Angel suggested that the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. He replaced them and about a week ago I was driving home when the brakes smelled like burned and smoke starting coming out. I called Angel to ask him what type of warranty the brakes had and he became upset and told me that he was going to teach me to drive and after proceeded to hang up on me. I would like to have my brakes fixed properly since I did pay him for the work.Desired SettlementI would like to have him fix the brakes properly or give me a refund so I can take it to another shop to have them fixed proper;y.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] ownerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]hi my name is angel we've had problem with this customer in the past he just always tries to blame us for everything this last time he called being very rude saying that he almost went off a cliff driving because the brakes weren't grabbing so we told him to bring it in to take a look and he started to make rude comments so he got mad and hung up on me and never heard since thenConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept his response because the times I have taken my vehicle to his shop has been for various repairs and they have been paid for. When I had problems with the breaks that he repaired Angel never told to bring it back he said he was going to give me driving lessons. If he knows anything about customer service or customer satisfaction he would not have said that. He also keeps refering to me as a he. I am a female and the owner of the truck. I dont know who "he" is. Final Business Response we give a 6 month warranty on our brakes its been well over 6 months since they brought in they're truck and this isn't the first time we've had issues with them every time they come they always have something to complain about like one time we did nothing to they're vehicle just took a look at it they drove away and a few days later they call saying that they're wheel had almost fell off somehow if we never touched the wheels but what they feel is convenient to do to work tis out is fine with us thank you Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Obviously this so called cheap mechanic is not willing to take responsibility for the work on the vehicle. I do not plan to waste any more time with this issue and I have taken my truck to a certified mechanic who actually knows what they are doing. My only suggestion is that this man needs to stop telling people he can fix something, charge them and then not take any type of responsibility for the work they do. I am going to make sure that people know what he is doing and prevent any other people from being ripped off.

Mechanic does not preform accurate and reliable services. Two non-natural issues arise resulting from unethical quality work. I brought in my vehicle for an oil change recently and about 4 or 5 days later my car was leaking, I took it into the shop and it needing to be replaced; the whole steering pump on 12/07/15. Usually when a leak happens for a power steering pump, time and use are the major contributing factors. Very rare it's because of something else like actual physical contact and I did not go over something that extreme and far-fetched to damage the pump. Nor have I gone under the hood and fidgeted with parts. I am the second owner of the car from and elderly couple with ~68,000 miles. Replacing the power steering pump I found later is unheard of for a car that has 68k miles. I asked and they said it's the O-rings between the hose and reservoir that degrade overtime and cause the leak. There's a history that after I take in my car for an oil change I soon after have another car issue. I took in my other car for new breaks because they had worn out and about 7-10 days later I was driving to Sacramento and heard a loud, fast clunk. I took it into the nearest shop and it was the control arm bushing that came off. That is near where the breaks are at and this is something that is very rare to happen. I had to pay for the service that was not my fault. Just to put things into perspective. Desired SettlementA refund for the power steering pump replacement that was caused by shop, not due to natural causes. I have seen one mechanic for my cars life and am a good owner always giving it's oil change every 3k miles and all the other required maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable car. I don't let other people touch or work on my car other than taking it to one shop, Angels. I am very cautious to treat my car with the best care and am 90% sure that I did not cause a leak to happen somewhere where it is well inside in the engine bay. This is the second time something like this happens.Business Response we have had these customers for a some years now and they have never been happy or satisfied with our work but have always been coming back this last time for the power steering pump leaking not only was it leaking it had a humming noise as well. also not all vehicles and parts wear exactly the same its not possible ive seen engine go out with 5k and go up to 15ok with no leaks. to also say that we tampered with it to cause the leak it a crazy thought we have never tampered with any vehicle to cause leaks Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Never being happy is an understatement. I've taken my car here for the past 4 years because they preform excellent work, with oil changes being the prominent one. I'm not going to keep taking my car to the same shop if I'm unhappy with the work they preformed, that makes no sense especially when I'm a fully informed consumer. It was until now that I am sincerely unthankful for they work they have done. Everything the business said is to general or vague in regards to a response for my complaint.
