Dear Ms [redacted] I am replying regarding complaint [redacted] .The customer brought the vehicle to our shop in early JulyThe diagnosis indicated the transmission had internal problemsWhen give the option to REBUILD or REPAIR the transmissionThe ***'s opted to REPAIR as it was cheaperThe REBUILD carries a 12month/12,000mi!e warranty; the REPAIR carries a day warranty.Upon completion, the customer paid for the car and picked it upI don't recall how long they had the car before problems did persist, we did correct the issues but upon the third recurrence, we decided there was something inherently wrong with the transmission and it was not cost effective or timely to continue trying to repair this unit that proved to create headaches for all involved. We decided it would be best to remove the transmission and replace it, free of charge, with a USED transmissionI phoned the daughter ( [redacted] ) to discuss thisShe was very nice and understanding, as Mr [redacted] also seemed to be.The car was still drivable and when the unit arrived, we called [redacted] so she could bring the vehicle to us[redacted] dropped the car off and we installed the unit we purchased (a copy of our invoice is included)We returned the car to the ***'s with the best intentions and feeling like we did the right thingWhile it didn't present on the test drive, apparently a problem existed with the used transmission. When Mrs [redacted] returned and spoke with John about the code, she did not have the car with herJohn offered to check the car for the code and if there was an issue, he would call the salvage yard and have a replacement sentWe were not given the opportunity to check the car.Ms [redacted] , we have been in business for years, we live miles awayWe get gas and shop at the same stores as many of our customersWe feel like we operate a fair and honest businessWe are generous to our community and to those who surround usOur sons go to the local school districtWhat I'm trying to say is that we are proud to have our business so close to our home and our friends and customersThis incident is unusual and frustrating to say the least. We are entirely open to re-replacing the unit with one the salvage yard would provide to us as a replacement to the defective unit.I have enclosed the original invoice, the no charge invoice for installation of the used transmission and a copy of our bill from the salvage yard for the transmission we bought, with good intentions, in hopes to rectification.Best Regards,Beth M***World Class Transmission Service

The vehicle was picked up on July 13th and it had to be returned because of an issue with a bolt Then we called them one week later cause there was an issue The next couple of months it was at their shop more than it was on the road Between July and late August it had been returned to them at least 4-times for them to fix the issue And everytime we received the vehicle back a couple days later it was back in their shop Then they took it and I was under the understanding that they were going to have a transmission rebuilt from someone else put in the vehicle I NEVER authorized someone else’s used junk to be put in my vehicle Once we received it back we still had issues As I said before when we took it back to, World Class he stated “No Way’ and that there could not be anything wrong with what they put in He said to drive it like you stole it and put 1,miles on it Mind you the only thing I know for a fact they did was to extend the warranty I see they have kids, would they really want their kids to deal with a vehicle that has issues every week? I called John on October 13th because I felt what he said was totally unacceptable You tell my year old daughter to drive the car like you stole it? When I talked to him on the phone I told him I wanted my money back He then agreed that if I took it back and let him check it out one more time and he couldn’t fix it he would give me my money back I said I wanted it in writing So I took a form over to him stating: [redacted] agrees to have me, John M [redacted] and World Class Transmission Service, attempt to satisfactorily fixed the transmission in her Chevrolet Impala If the transmission is not fixed to her satisfaction, I, John M [redacted] owner of World Class Transmission Service, will immediately return in full the amount of $1,paid to me on July 13, to fix the transmissionHe refused to sign it and no I did not have the car with me because my daughter uses the car on Fridays for work I did tell him that if he signed the form I would have the car dropped off to him over the weekend He refused He was more worried about the name of the other transmission shop I took it to He was not worried about making right what he was paid to do I have lost all confidence in World Class to even do the work correctly We have already given them at least chances to fix the issue and it is still not right John also stated that he would not warranty other people’s work He stated that what is in my car now is not what he did I told him I paid him to do the work and I DID NOT authorize anyone else to do any work on the vehicleI DO NOT want someone else’s junk in my vehicle Who knows how many miles will be on the transmission they want to put in my vehicle I paid them to do a job and my understanding was to rebuild the transmission to satisfaction, which they seem to be unable to do I understand they have been in business for years but I did not get what I paid for It has not been over months and the car is still not right I work hard for my money and I want what I paid for I would also like a detail statement of what they did to the vehicle I also state again that if my daughter would get hit because of the hesitation in the transmission I will go after world Class Transmission to the fullest extent of the law John needs to get out of contact with customers He cares more about who proves that he did not fix what he was paid for than in the safety of my daughterI want a full refund plus the cost of the other transmission shop's evaluation of the transmission for a total of $1, Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Dear Ms. [redacted], I am replying to World Class Transmission reply to complaint [redacted] Number 1.  We were NEVER given the option to repair or rebuild the transmission.  We were always under the impression that they had rebuilt the transmission.  R & R means what?  We paid to have it rebuilt.  We NEVER stated we wanted it repaired because it was cheaper.  We were not even given any prices until we received the call that it was ready to be picked up and they gave us the price we owed them. Number 2.  How many times do we have to give them to fix the issues?  The vehicle was picked up on July 13th and it had to be returned because of an issue with a bolt.   Then we called them one week later cause there was an issue.  The next couple of months it was at their shop more than it was on the road.  Between July and late August it had been returned to them at least 4-5 times for them to fix the issue.  And everytime we received the vehicle back a couple days later it was back in their shop.  Then they took it and I was under the understanding that they were going to have a transmission rebuilt from someone else put in the vehicle.  I NEVER authorized someone else’s used junk to be put in my vehicle.  Once we received it back we still had issues.  As I said before when we took it back to, World Class he stated “No Way’ and that there could not be anything wrong with what they put in.  He said to drive it like you stole it and put 1,000 miles on it.  Mind you the only thing I know for a fact they did was to extend the warranty.  I see they have kids, would they really want their kids to deal with a vehicle that has issues every week? I called John on October 13th because I felt what he said was totally unacceptable.  You tell my 19 year old daughter to drive the car like you stole it?  When I talked to him on the phone I told him I wanted my money back.  He then agreed that if I took it back and let him check it out one more time and he couldn’t fix it he would give me my money back.  I said I wanted it in writing.  So I took a form over to him stating: [redacted] agrees to have me, John M[redacted] and World Class Transmission Service, attempt to satisfactorily fixed the transmission in her 2005 Chevrolet Impala.  If the transmission is not fixed to her satisfaction, I, John M[redacted] owner of World Class Transmission Service, will immediately return in full the amount of $1,484.00 paid to me on July 13, 2017 to fix the transmission. He refused to sign it and no I did not have the car with me because my daughter uses the car on Fridays for work.  I did tell him that if he signed the form I would have the car dropped off to him over the weekend.  He refused.  He was more worried about the name of the other transmission shop I took it to.  He was not worried about making right what he was paid to do.  I have lost all confidence in World Class to even do the work correctly.  We have already given them at least 5 chances to fix the issue and it is still not right.  John also stated that he would not warranty other people’s work.  He stated that what is in my car now is not what he did.  I told him I paid him to do the work and I DID NOT authorize anyone else to do any work on the vehicle. I DO NOT want someone else’s junk in my vehicle.  Who knows how many miles will be on the transmission they want to put in my vehicle.  I paid them to do a job and my understanding was to rebuild the transmission to satisfaction, which they seem to be unable to do.  I understand they have been in business for 16 years but I did not get what I paid for.  It has not been over 3 months and the car is still not right.  I work hard for my money and I want what I paid for.  I would also like a detail statement of what they did to the vehicle.   I also state again that if my daughter would get hit because of the hesitation in the transmission I will go after world Class Transmission to the fullest extent of the law.  John needs to get out of contact with customers.  He cares more about who proves that he did not fix what he was paid for than in the safety of my daughter. I want a full refund plus the cost of the other transmission shop's evaluation of the transmission for a total of $1,529.
Regards,
[redacted]
