authorization sheet during the check in process that said he agreed to pay the bill in full before leaving that day.  Due to the sensitive nature of the visit and how upset [redacted] was at the time, we did not ask him to pay before he left, we told him he could pay when he picked up the ashes the following week.  Many statements were mailed and phone calls made to attempt to collect on the debt.  We did not know that [redacted] had changed his phone number.  An email was sent to the client as a last ditch effort to contact him before sending to collections.  He did respond to the email with an intent to pay, but no follow up was made and no payment received.  On December 1st he was sent to our collection agency.  [redacted] made payment to the office on 12/26/17 and 1/26/17 (note: one and two months past when his account had already been sent to the collection agency).  We have offered to continue to accept payments on this account and continue to report them to the collection agency.  When this account has been satisfied financially, we will be happy to give [redacted] the ashes.  Thanks, Becky V[redacted]Practice ManagerAnimal Care Center
