His lungs were clearContrary to the client's statement that they shared, with Dr***, a "horizontal view of ***'s original x-ray from weeks earlier," no radiographs were providedContrary to the client's report they were "here for hours," records indicate they arrived at 3:21pm and clocked out at 5:41pmDr [redacted] provided the client with her referral recommendation within the first hour of their arrivalThe client extended their time at Animal Emergency Clinic debating with Dr [redacted] her referral recommendationContrary to the client's claim the doctor wasn't "comfortable breaking down his dosage," ***'s weight, (14#) and the strength (30mg) of the only medication available, as confirmed by a licensed pharmacist, the tablet would have needed to be cut into tenths, (1/10) which was not a possibilityAs a result, Dr [redacted] provided [redacted] with a mild sedative to keep him calm while transporting to the specialty clinicIt is our opinion Dr [redacted] acted appropriately and reasonably by recognizing [redacted] required a cardiologistMaking multiple inquiries to locate a clinic to provide [redacted] with the level of care he required is testimony to Dr***' level of dedication to her patientsFor over years Animal Emergency Clinic has performed emergency servicesWe are not, nor do we claim to be a specialty clinicAnimal Emergency Clinic, in a timely manner, provided [redacted] with emergency treatment, radiographs, ECG readouts and a referral to a specialty hospital with direct access to a cardiologist. The client's request for a refund of fees associated with ***'s visit is unreasonableThe client received the benefit of Dr***' medical experience in addition to radiographs, ECG results, blood pressure monitoring and sedation. As our name states, we are an emergency clinicWe do not practice specialized medicine, i.ecardiology, oncology, dermatology, dentistry, orthopedics or any other medical specialtyWe are trained emergency medicine practitioners who know our capabilities and have the wisdom, and humility, to know when a referral to a specialist is in the best interest of the patientDr [redacted] made an educated decision to refer [redacted] to a cardiologist and then did the leg-work to find a clinic that could provide the level of care he requiredWhile at Animal Emergency Clinic, the patient was provided appropriate medical care and evaluationDr [redacted] made a medically appropriate decisionThe client chose not to follow the doctor's recommendationThe fees charged were fair and reasonableWe see no need for restitution.Sincerely, [redacted] ***, Practice ManagerAnimal Emergency Clinic

I do not agree with *** *** descriptin of what happenedI did pay the #I wss first sentthen they raised it to $after a month or twoI did talk to *** and mailed a check with the letter on April 18thBut, I am still in dispute and we never came to an
agreement other than Idid sign paperwork initially and that is whyI saw no reason to continue to sign more paperworkBut I was never given any copies of the paperwork I signed nor was I ever explained any policies initiallyThe statement that I was beligerate is incorrectI was infected upset that no one was attempting to help my animal in any waythere only concern was paperworkThey refused service to meThat is why I took my dog elsewhereBut the bill has been paidI was going to make it in payment because I had signed initial paperworkBut why have they never sent me any paperwork other than an invoiceAnd should they not have made some initial attempt to see to my petThey didn't and their timing is wrongI arrived at *** *** around 10:pm and they are not that far..it would not have taken me that longI did not have to fill out any paperwork at *** *** animal hospital ....they attended to *** immediately...My dog could have died while I was filling out paperwork at an emergency clinicI do not think that is reasonableMy complaint is still validand the letter I sent to *** after talking to her is attachedThey simply are more concerned about getting paidNot about the animals welfareThey have been paid in full regardlessPlease reference my letter attachedThey simply do not see my side of the problem, My animal was more important than their paperwork, that I had already agreed to
