The vehicle in question was advertised on various web sites clearly indicating this vehicle had no factory warranty. A copy of this ad remains in the above clients file and if necessary can be forwarded to substantiate the fact. The client was informed of the warranty issue and that it was the result of an aftermarket lift kit installation by the previous owner which cancelled the manufacturer's warranty. This lift kit installation was completed by a private facility and not by an authorized dealer. The sale worksheet, offer to purchase and bill of sale each have a stamp indicating there was no warranty from the dealer, each stamp imprint was initialed by the client prior to the client taking delivery of this truck.
Considerable repairs were made to this vehicle to ensure it was in fact compliant with ** inspection requirements prior to the client taking delivery. Care was taken by our service manager to make the client aware of the prospect of additional future maintenance due to the lift kit installation. Additional adjustments to the kit were just recently completed by our dealership for the client and it is the opinion of our service manager there is still no safety issue with the truck.
The sales manager attempted to remedy their situation with an offer on a new truck transaction. The pre-owned vehicle they had an interest in would not meet the financial requirements of the client due to bank restrictions on the advance and an increase in interest rates. Both would have put the target budget out of reach.
We will continue to offer our assistance to the client in finding a vehicle suitable to their budget but we will not issue a refund on the transaction.

I do not accept there response. As everything they have said was after the vehicle was purchased. Before buying we were told we still had warranty and they never told us who put the lift on the truck. Something had to break before we found out about the warranty because all my paperwork says we have warranty. [redacted]

We are a full disclosure dealership. The vehicle was clearly advertised with warranty issues on our web site, [redacted] prior to the clients purchase. The client acknowledged and signed a no warranty disclosure prior to delivery on the initial worksheet and the sale agreement. Recognizing the issues they are encountering we would still be quite willing to work with the client in obtaining a suitable replacement vehicle at terms that are agreeable to all parties but we will not contemplate a full refund.
