of the old insurance company verifying current coverage, computer electronically sending to old insurance company after entering new insurance information, and delays that normally occur with processing of claims to both new and old insurance companies, as well as delay in payments being received from the new insurance, there were delays with everything being current and correct on the patient account. By the time I spoke with the patient, insurance payments had very recently posted and the account was already correct, leaving a small credit that the patient requests to apply to future visits. The patient understood completely, and the situation was considered fully resolved by both parties.
