The Mechanic did not open the door when it brokeThe passenger side door handle was broken when the customer brought the vehicle inIn order to write the repair order up on the vehicle we had to obtain the vin number located in the driver side door jamThe Service Manage opened the door and the handle fell apart in his handsWe can not be responsible for an old car part falling apart during operationThe customer authorized the repairs in full and then complained at the register, during the pick up of the vehicle, and we have the customer $off the service visit as a Goodwill GestureWe are not responsible for the age and condition of the vehicles brought to us, this vehicle was not damaged by us and we went above and beyond as we do for every customer in every situationI am disappointed that this situation has been brought to this level and would be glad to speak with customer again if any further discussion is neededJoe Rush

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The ownership of Rush Automotive is disguising the facts behind this complaint.• Yes I did authorize the repair but it was based on incomplete and inaccurate information given to me by their staffI checked with several other reputable repair shops and they all told me that Rush should have thoroughly examined "all" of the cylinders prior recommending any repairIf they had done that they would have found the bad cylinder with the faulty heli coilThen they would have informed me of the true problem and all the work would have stopped thereI gave them the engine codes upfront and the codes dealt with with the entire engine and pin pointed the misfire codes on two different sides of the engine.• The fact that I bought the vehicle at an auction is not germane.• The fact that I bought the vehicle "as is" is not germane.They did an incomplete analysis of the engine and gave me a recommendation of repair that was inaccurate and misleadingIf I had been told the "entire" truth I would have paid them a "check out' fee and retrieved the vehicleI relied on their supposed expertise and honestly.That is where I made my real mistake.No I am not satisfied[redacted] *** Regards, [redacted] ***
