RE: Case ID *** To Whom it May Concern We are in receipt of complaint number ***This customer leased a International Prostar through Quality on September 29, While it was a used vehicle, he had the opp01tunity to inspect the vehicle
and all leased vehicles pass a DOT inspection prior to leaving our lotIt is impo1tant to note that a DOT inspection does not mean a full vehicle diagnostic, it merely ensures the vehicle meets minimum DOT standards to operate on public roadsThe documentation provided this customer is very clear the vehicle was being leased in an "As Is" condition The lease agreement places the responsibility to pay for maintenance and repairs upon the lesseeOur records indicate the only time he mentioned there were any mechanical or safety issues was on April 4, 2017, and again the next day, over seven months after the vehicle had been in his possessionWhile we regret to hear that this customer was not satisfied with the vehicle, we would require more evidence that the tire wear, missing kingpins, oil leak, and other issues were directly attributable to Quality Companies' negligence We have internally reviewed this matter and will not engage in the requested settlement to close his delinquent accountQuality Companies reserves all their rights as allowed under the lease and in equity Thank you, Quality Equipment Leasing James Z*** Director of Risk and Collateral 317-972-xjz***@gualityco .com
