Review: It was beautiful, even with sideways rain. In fact, our only disappointment was using Anne Lanier Weddings;. The prices and services offered were not only out-of-date but public prices offered to all (not just Lanier Clients). There turned out to be no [redacted] discounts (including the Priest she had "temporarily reserved for us- he can easily be found on Google for the same "Lanier" price).We were interested in getting married inside of O'Brien Castle and it seemed like a dream when we found Anne's Cliff Side Package...only to find out that she had no idea someone new was running the grounds and they didn't offer prices anywhere near what she had offered (so much for her meticulously maintained client list). There was no substantial discount. There was no discount at all.We arranged all of the wedding without the use of Anne's vendor list and when we asked her for a partial refund (which would have sufficed in quelling our disappointment) she pointedly refused. She has ignored 2 requests for a refund; including not responded to an email after we returned from our wedding. I planned 98% of the wedding and was out of $500 dollars that could have been used to make our day more special.Bottom line; plan your Irish wedding yourself by contacting a B&B owner like [redacted] in Doolin. They all know each other and would provide you with much more than Anne did for us, which was nothing.Desired Settlement: Anne has been asked to consider a full or partial refund of the $500, she has not responded to our request. We would like some or all of the amount refunded for services and discounts that were not received.

I have been planning destination weddings in Ireland for 12 years and this is the first complaint I have ever had and I take this matter very seriously.

My company offers an option for clients on a budget who intend to do their own coordination and planning called our Option #1 services. This service includes a 15 page report that I create for each client individually based on their needs, budget and wedding vision. This report contains options for ceremony and reception locations, vendors to service their wedding, driving directions from the local airport, maps, pictures and basic information about the area. In [redacted]'s ([redacted]'s) case she choose the west of Ireland in an area near the Cliffs of Moher. This is an area I know quite well as I was myself married there and I have been working with the same vendors and locations for almost 12 years. [redacted] did indeed use all of my vendors from the report for her wedding and also used my locations for ceremony and for accommodation. She was given discounts or perks by ALL of these people (see their comments and contact information for verification below). I had a troubled feeling about [redacted] from our first call as she was extremely scattered and immediately began asking for various discounts for my services. She tried negotiating our fees for quite some time. We however, have set rates for our option #1 services and I told her that was not possible. After she finally decided to move ahead with our services she demanded that I personally confirm her wedding officiant and location before she got started (not part of our option #1 services, but I agreed). At my own time and expense I phoned and made these confirmations on her behalf. Shortly after she began asking for a partial refund on our services based on the fact that some of the vendors she called did not know me (not possible). I kindly asked her to provide me with the names of those vendors which she has still not done. Please see her email asking for us to pay her for our services or she will continue posting bad reviews. Also, please see testimonials from our vendors who serviced her "beautiful" wedding. Their contact information is included if you would like to confirm with them directly.

In particular I would I like to point out that [redacted] and [redacted] had, in their own words "a beautiful wedding" and they were married in O'Brien's Tower exactly as she wished and free of charge due to the fact that she was working with my vendors who went the extra mile because of our 12 year relationship. She complains that she had to "plan 98% of her wedding". She hired our company to provide her with information to plan her own wedding (option #1 services) – she did NOT hire us to plan her wedding. Our prices are not at all out of date and I work hard to keep updated with rates. The main Cliffs of Moher visitor center in County Clare did make some changes to their services after [redacted] hired me. As we discussed today on the phone, I immediately addressed the changes, phoned Ireland and spoke to my contact there who told me of the new plans. These new plans and rates were immediately sent to [redacted] who decided she did not want to pay for the location. In the end none of that mattered because my vendors were able to get her the location (O'Brien's Tower) for free. In regard to her threatening emails asking for money, I have been told by my attorney to not engage her threats.

I have had the great pleasure of planning weddings in Ireland since 2001. We have planned hundreds of weddings and I can honestly say we have poured our hearts and time into all of them which has resulted in a flawless reputation. I am very happy to know that [redacted] and [redacted] had a beautiful wedding in the castle they dreamed of in Ireland and I am proud of the hard work our company and vendors provided to the couple to make their dream wedding a reality (even getting this castle location for free for the couple – a substantial discount). I have done an extensive follow up on this wedding with my locations and vendors in Ireland and I can confirm that [redacted] was indeed given preferential service and pricing by all (all contacts were given to Revdex.com for an independent follow up). [redacted] hired us for our option #1 services which is a consulting service to provide her with information to plan her wedding in Ireland. We were thrilled that she was able to hire our vendors and use our information and locations for her wedding and accommodations in Ireland. If she choose to use any additional vendors or locations that she found on her own, that was her prerogative. We sincerely wish [redacted] and [redacted] a happy future together.
