I am rejecting this response because:I was not aware of any minimum balance requirementAs far as I knew you needed to have $in the savings accountThey are perfectly willing to charge me a fee but treat me as though I'm not important enough for them to find out why I haven't used the account in a long timeWhy did no one reach out to me last year and let me know that I was being charged a fee? If I am not using the account I really have no need to look at the statements the day they come in the mailI've had this account for a long time, I had no issues or problems until it became ACHUSince then I have been pretty dissatisfied with themI have no doubt that they would have continued to charge me fees until there was no money left in the accountI feel they have a duty to me as a member to care about me and my moneyWhich they did not live up to by not reaching out to me last year or flagging my account so that when I did come in someone could have made me aware of the fees and the minimum account balance

share savings only) of less than $250.00 and no transactions for 6 months.  When Anoka County Federal Credit Union (ACFCU) merged with Anoka Hennepin Credit Union (AHCU) on Jan. 1, 2008, the Rate and Fee Schedule and a Membership Account Agreement for AHCU was provided to all ACFCU members, both of which disclose the inactive fee.  Dec. 2013 until Sept. 2015 Ms. [redacted] had an inactive checking and share savings but had combined balances over $250.00 thus her account avoided the inactive fee.Sept. 2015 Ms. [redacted] withdrew funds from her share savings account, dropping the combined balances below the $250.00 threshold and putting her account in jeopardy.  Since there were no transactions on either of Ms. [redacted] accounts from Oct. 2015 to March 2016 and her combined balances was below the $250.00 threshold, the $5.00 inactive fee was assessed in March 2016.The fee continued for the months of April, May, June and July 2016 due to inactivity and below minimum balance threshold.Aug. 2016 Ms. [redacted] deposited funds into the share savings bringing the account to an active status and stopping the inactive fee even though the combined balances were below the $250.00 threshold.  Feb. 2017 was again 6 months without a transaction and the $5.00 inactive fee was assessedAHCU is required to provide monthly statements to its membership with checking accounts, which Ms. [redacted] was receiving.  AHCU has no record that any statements were returned “undeliverable”. AHCU’s Membership Account Agreement states that members have a responsibility to review their statements for errors or concerns and bring them to our attention in a timely manner (within 33 days of the date statement was mailed).    If Ms. [redacted] had reviewed her statements prior to the Aug. transaction, she could have noticed the inactive fee and had the opportunity to question the fee and inquire on avoiding future inactive fees.    In March 2017 when Ms. [redacted] contacted AHCU with her concerns, AHCU refunded Ms. [redacted] 3 of the 6 fees for a total refund of $15.00.  AHCU feels that the refund given to Ms. [redacted] was more than generous and is consistent with considerations given to other members in a similar situation.
