This complaint is completely unfounded*** *** originally hired us to elevate his homeHe was disgruntled from the very beginning of the process, saying that it was ridiculous that the village if island Park building department was requiring him to hire a general contractorHe stated that all
contractors are scammers. We signed a contract with *** ***, and immediately after work began, he decided that he was doing to hire all of his own sub-contractors and deduct almost all of our work scope from the jobOur contract from the very beginning stated that we would supply and install vinyl windows, because even though the plans specced out Andersen windows, He wanted to do this job as cheap as possibleThis structure is over years old, and as we started demo and framing, there was a ton of additional work that had to be doneWe did it , charged him our cost, and he still refused to pay that amount , so we negotiated down drastically on that change order for himAfter the windows were installed, we were missing additional windows, which *** *** saw so we ordered more (note these windows were outside of our original scope), yet even at this time, he made no mention of the windowsAfter they were all installed PROPERLY, our framing and strapping inspection passed with the Building department, *** *** decided that he didn’t like the windows, because his Architecht said they should be Andersens and that these windows were not approved by Him (Architecht Henry Monteverde)I told *** *** to have the architect draft a letter and stamp it, and I would bring it to the window manufacturer (NUVUE windows in Oceanside), who has been in business for years selling windowsOf course this letter was never written because it was just another lie*** *** then decided to start taking pictures of year old timbers and some other nonsense, saying the we had to fix these itemsWe would have done it for a fee, but he refuses to pay for any extra work that was outside of our scope, which was to frame the new interior walls and roof structure as per architectural plans only. I have emails, our contract, text messages and any other proof you may need to back my statements , Anthony S***

[Your Answer Here]** *** has a very fuzzy memory of what took place when we met! I told him the village said we needed a GC but I wnted to do much of the workHe said then that he had no problem with that I asked him if everything would be done by the print and to code and he itformed me it wouldI then met himat his office and he told me take out anything you wanti dont have a problem with it.He then requested a down payment which I gave him.Then ** *** would request More payment and delay the job by saying we had a payment schedule and itwasnt being followedI tried to explain to him that the schedule was incorrect do to the work that had been removedSomehow they couldnt understand that and wouldnt do any workthey eventually figured that part out..** ***s company undermanned the job and his workers couldnt figure out how to install a cricket roofso the delays continuedI would constantly hear about the age of the building which is actually yrs** *** would add a hundred to two hundred years to the age when ever his employees couldnt figure something out! which was oftenIm trying to figure out how he wasnt able to see what needed to be done to the building which was a shell needed to have done .He gave me a price and then wants to change it do to his incompetence.He still cant get the price righthe sends me copies of proposals and gutters are on there which he is also not doingThe picures I send him are from an unfinished deck, a missing pull down door, a cracked joist that neds to be sistered, missing straps on the rafters, a flooring system in the bath room that doesnt extent out completely to the wall, some sheating missing on the porch side of the house and that the foor boards are not nailed down in placesThe deck is also crooked and has no footing!I asked ** *** many times on multiple occassions to let me know what was going to be done and when,so I could stay ahead of himHowever that never happened** *** charged us an extra for a triple roof which didnt existWe agreed to pay xtra for that do to ths const delays and snail pace of constructionWe also asked them to replace the four back side windowsnot twoand we were charged for them.As per there change order they were supposed to be new construction windowsAs per the drawing which ** *** tells me is not the bible and why do I keep brinig it up.They are suppoed to have a flange and it is all one piece** *** decied to put remodeling windows in instaed and incorrectly.I took in the delivery fom the company and told both ** *** and mr ferraro they were the wrong windowsANS men showed up and they said they were the wrong windowshowever they wer told to cut the wood out of the way and install them anyway!! they also added flanges to the windows and tec screwed them to the windows breaching the integrity of those windowsI have many texts from ** *** and pictures of the windows and jobi will be happy to produce them whenever you want to see themI had the right windows installed by another company and my request is still the same a refund for the windows and the work that still needs to be done and or corrected Thank you for help and looking forward to hearing from you. *** ***
