Customer scheduled move approx. 2 months in advance. She called in between to change date to one day later. Called the day before the move to ask if she could post date a check for a week later. She informed she could not and was told she...

Moving inventory totals 26 items moved. During the load up one mover was moving a tv stand on a dolly- he was distracted by a puppy dragging a lease and the stand slipped and put a gauge in the wall. (no damage to stand resulted) The foreman spoke to customer & asked when her last day would be at that location-it was that day. He told her he could fix it. He had drywall equipment dropped off to jobsite and went to store around the corner for material. Made repair. (approx. 15-20 min. in total for all).
They finished loading furniture and she asked foreman if she could pay with credited card and post date a check for the following Wednesday. He told her he would check & called office. He was told she had already asked the day before & was told no. He was told to estimate time for remainder of move & we would run credit card before unload. The office spoke with customer & informed her of payment. She told office of damage situation. (1/2 hour was deducted from bill est. to cover damage repair & phone conversation time) She asked to use 2 credit cards to pay bill & payment for est. amount was made. She was informed that any balance would be addressed at the end of the move.
The customer thanked movers for the good job they were doing & informed them she didn't like how office ran their business.
Unload destination had a difficult entry. Front door, closet door & part of frame had to be removed. Large sectional would not fit even after all of this. Customer was informed they could remove front window (slider, glass , frame). This added approx. one hour to job to complete.
Movers encountered toys on steps & in their way. Mother told child several times to put toys out of way.
There were items that were disassembled & reassembled- (sleigh bed, dresser with mirror, kitchen table).
Total time for job was 6 hrs. (minus 1/2 hour adjustment).Total time charged was 5 1/2 hr. There was a balance of $47.50 at the end of the move which customer paid by credit card used previously that day.
The next day the repair was completed by our movers at the load destination.

My family, friends & coworkers said I would get a response Like this. My sister has worked for the prosecutors office for 22 yrs & my brother in law a sheriff. I was warned & told after the move that everyone has seen movers take advantage of people all of the time. Of course they are going to have a response like that and lie. When I scheduled moved & asked about payment has nothing to do with how they stalled around & damaged not only my previous residence but also my new. We also just noticed last week that they did not have the door all the way on & the pins were all the way up. To correct I did not pay with two credit cards. One was my debit card to my checking account. Also, I guess people should video or record (and they shouldn't have to) because our dog was on the leash obviously & sitting on the kitchen floor with my son & I. We are not going to have a dog going down steps when movers are moving. We heard a loud noise. The other mover came out of my bathroom like I mentioned before & I told him. He asked the other guy what happened & he said he lost it on the last two steps. Also, the way I was spoken to on the phone was very rude. My brother in law & his father who is close to seventy moved us without a mark and people said that these movers came out and were so unprofessional. This company is Extremely dishonest and unprofessional.

To follow up per customers' statement:
Customer stated in her first complaint that she was advised by family & friends that the items she llsted(which totaled llpc.) should take 2-3 hours to move. Our moving inventory totals 26 items. These items were moved from a 2nd floor apartment. Ten of the items would go to the upstairs of the new apartment. Some of these items were wrapped with the shrink wrap she mentions at no additional
charge for packing material. The total hours to move the 26 items was 5.5 hrs.- (this includes 1/2, hr.travel time which customer was aware of). As we previously stated approx. one hour of time was taken up with removing front window in order to get her large sectional into her new home- then replacing window, frame, other doors, etc.
Move- Start time 7:30am- Finish time 1:30pm= 6 hrs ( 1/2 hr. deduction for repair & phone time)
Move 26 items- 5 hrs. (·includes -1 hour for window situation)
Travel time, 1/2 hr.
Packing material- (shrink wrap) - No charge
Fuel surcharge- ($1.00 per mile x 15.14 mile)= charged$ 10.00
Paid with 2 credit cards (our terminal does not have a debit card adaptor)
We will be happy to schedule a time to clean the marks off the wall of the new apartment that were
caused by our movers. We will also check the doors we took off to make sure the pins are put back in. We do apologize for this. We do know the entry of the new apartment was difficult and we also had the window situation. We also want to apologize for the damage which occurred from the accident at the previous residence. We did strive to take care of the damage promptly.
