Review: [redacted], took my brother car in to have the service engine light fix because it would not pass smog,[redacted] went to pick the car up because they said it was fixed,he drove afew blocks down and the light came on again, he took the car right back and pick it up again, he asked the guy for the old parts, he said thier already gone,he made it to los molinos,ca,about 15 miles,no light came on..My brother was in the hospital at this time and asked me if I would put it on my credit card,I said yes..$450.40,my brother passed away in the hospital,the the car was never driven untill I came up from placerville,ca to clean out my brother place,I left their at 7:pm on jan 7th drove to I-5 south and the light came back on. I did talk to Antelope auto and told them among other things this this was a temporary fix,and I payed for services not rendered and I want a full refund on my credit card and i'll give him the card # and he hang up on me.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

On 11-15-2013 the vehicle was brought in to correct a "Check Engine Light" problem and perform a smog check on the vehicle. We performed a diagnosis on the vehicle to determine the cause of the check engine light. Called the consumer and received authorization for repairs. After repairs were made we performed a smog test and issued a certificate of compliance to the vehicle. The consumer that called and requested a full refund is not the consumer that brought in the vehicle or authorized repairs to the vehicle. I asked that the consumer bring in the vehicle for us to verify her problem which she declined and demanded a refund. She states that the check engine light is on but will not let us look at it. The check engine light may come on for numerous reasons and may not even be associated with the repairs we performed. I also suggested that if the vehicle is not in the vicinity of the shop that she is more than welcome to take the vehicle to any Napa Auto Care Center as it would be under warranty. She also declined this and still demanded a full refund. I understand she recently lost and a family member and is under duress but at this point has not offered to work with us at all on this. I offered to credit the labor back to her for the repairs which she also declined. I can't think of any business that just arbitrarily issues full refunds without verifying the complaint or verifying the person making the complaint.
