First as a matter of background, our company Antelope Inchas been operating an e-commerce web site, in addition to our wholesale business, for the past four yearsWe take customer service very seriouslyWe have an out sourced live chat service and a full time customer service rep with 24/ coverage in our [redacted] ** officeWe deal with our customers daily and reply to all requests in a timely mannerThe situation with [redacted] was caused by an incorrect barcode that when scanned read a size and the actual in stock shoe was a size 41.The situation became more complicated because the selected style was on a deep price reduction because it was the last pair of a spring styleOur shoes retail for $and this shoe was reduced to $plus a $coupon, thus $89.00.This order was placed during our Memorial Day weekend sale eventWhen the customer, [redacted] was informed of this error on the size, she was offered to select another style and given an additional 10% discount plus expedited shippingThe style she next selected was a higher priced style, $from spring and after the 10% and original $coupon the price was reduced to $This reduced price was not acceptable to Jaya Dutta and was followed by a series of complaints that she wanted a deeper discount, the price was then reduced another $to $This still did not satisfy Jaya Dutta, I assume she wanted the higher price style for the reduced price of $to match her original purchaseThe wholesale cost of the style is close to $so after shipping we would have lost money on this transaction and decided to refund the original purchase amount and still told [redacted] she could have 10% off on any future purchase but the shoe she wants is no longer available at the $price and the best price for the replacement style is $vs $original price While we closed the topic with the customer, we were still concerned about the incorrect bar code readingAt the same time as this situation we had a sales meeting in NYC with our reps and management on May and then a day trade show , [redacted] We could not review the bar code confusion until the following week when we did a warehouse auditAt that time we found the error on the bar code and quickly removed the style from the web site offerThis is the reason the web site was still posting the incorrect size the following week In the end, the customer was granted the $price Thank you, Rossa Q [redacted] *

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:There are several inconsistencies in their email which undermines me and my intentionAfter I paid for my chosen pair online, Antelope informed me that they do not have the shoes and asked me to choose any other pairI had to go through the hassle of going to their website and chose a shoe of similar look & same original priceI assumed, as the error was on their side, this will be a one email thingBut they hiked the price on meAt that point it became a matter of principal for me to not pay a penny moreI felt I'm being tricked into a situation to pay moreI asked them if they can send me ANY shoes that matches the prize that I ALREADY paidThey said they cannot give me ANY shoes that matched the prize I paidAt that point I complained to Revdex.com and also the Department of Consumer Protection (CT)The only reason Antelope Shoes sent me the replacement shoes for $is because the CT Consumer Protection intervened and asked them to abideOtherwise Antelope refused to send me any shoes with the prize that I already paidIn the future, I'm hoping that Antelope will be nicer to their customers especially when it's their fault where they cannot keep their side of the bargain. I'm attaching the long email thread to give more contextAlso attaching the email from Department of Consumer Protection (CT) letting me know that they have intervenedPlease note the date (June16) when Antelope agreed to give me an exchange pair for the same price (same date as the Consumer Protection agency informed me)
Sincerely,

First as a matter of background, our company Antelope Inc. has been operating an e-commerce web site, in addition to our wholesale business, for the past four years. We take customer service very seriously. We have an out sourced live chat service and a full time customer service rep with 24/7...

coverage in our [redacted] office. We deal with our customers daily and reply to all requests in a timely manner. The situation with [redacted] was caused by an incorrect barcode that when scanned read a size 36 and the actual in stock shoe was a size 41.The situation became more complicated because the selected style was on a deep price reduction because it was the last pair of a spring 2015 style. Our shoes retail for $199 and this shoe was reduced to $119 plus a $30 coupon, thus $89.00.This order was placed during our Memorial Day weekend sale event. When the customer, [redacted] was informed of this error on the size, she was offered to select another style and given an additional 10% discount plus expedited shipping. The style she next selected was a higher priced style, $199 from spring 2017 and after the 10% and original $30.00 coupon the price was reduced to $149.00. This reduced price was not acceptable to Jaya Dutta and was followed by a series of complaints that she wanted a deeper discount, the price was then reduced another $20.00 to $129.00. This still did not satisfy Jaya Dutta, I assume she wanted the higher price style for the reduced price of $89.00 to match her original purchase. The wholesale cost of the style is close to $80 so after shipping we would have lost money on this transaction and decided to refund the original purchase amount and still told [redacted] she could have 10% off on any future purchase but the shoe she wants is no longer available at the $89 price and the best price for the replacement style is $129 vs $199 original price.   While we closed the topic with the customer, we were still concerned about the incorrect bar code reading. At the same time as this situation we had a sales meeting in NYC with our reps and management  on May 30 and then a 3 day trade show ,[redacted] We could not review the bar code confusion until the following week when we did a warehouse audit. At that time we found the error on the bar code and quickly removed the style from the web site offer. This is the reason the web site was still posting the incorrect size the following week.   In the end, the customer was granted the $89.00 price      Thank you,  Rossa Q[redacted]
