I believe Anthem Dentistry is involved in illegal business/billing practices
My husband became a new patient of DrW***, no complaints with DrW*** my husband was very happy with him
The same day of his appointment I made a new patient appt for two of my children as well as myselfIn person in the office the staff assured me they were in network with ***, which he is notMy husband has ***, the kids and I have ***
Approximately two weeks after myself and my children had been seen the problems started
I started receiving EOBs in the mail from insurance companies that were billed but we were not covered by or connected to usI called the office and alerted them to this and they were cluelessI stated again myself and the children were covered under *** as my new patient paperwork stated
The next week even though my husband's account was +$the company for some unknown reason deducted $from his checking account even though he didn't owe anything in fact they owned him $I immediately called the office to find out what was going onI spoke to two different office staff and was told first that the reason why it was taken was that myself and my two children's insurance had not paid yet so they took it out to cover thatFirst of all my insurance would have paid if you would have billed the right insurance company, it's almost like they are billing several companies trying to get multiple payments
My first problem with that is you can not deduct money from someone's account to pay for another's person's bill without their permissionThis is an illegal practice
The second person assured me it was an error and they would be mailing a refund check ASAPIt has been weeks and they have not refunded anything
In the mean time I have called several times and my calls are either avoided or when I do speak with someone I'm told something different each time I have also received more EOBs since this has started where this dentist office has billed the wrong insurance again, Laura the office manager will not return my calls, Denise the billing coordinator is no help and the other two ladies tell me something different every time I call
It's very sad that office staff and bad billing practices can ruin your whole experience
DrW*** is a good dentist in my personal opinion but I nor my family will ever be back to that officeI will also be pursing legal action against this office
