Anthem Institute Reviews (3)

Review: I started my education at Anthem Institute 651 U.S. 1, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902 everything was going good than my school shutdown. New company called [redacted] bought the school and they said new school [redacted] will have the same program and rules so, students can finish the program but they changed it. I needed a help of my classes I talked to the instructor so I can stay after school and get extra help to do better in my class. He didn't helped me. So, I e-mail the new school [redacted] President to solve my issue. He said he will look into it and he never reply me back. My teacher passed me on the class. I felt like I am learning nothing in this school so I dropped the school. Old school Anthem Institute charged me the whole amount so now I am getting loan payments.Desired Settlement: I want my loan payment to discharge

Review: I am currently a extern at Anthem Institute. That school currently closed down during my extern. They told me a week before I went on extern that they were going to be closed down on septemeber 14. They closed down august 22 and they never called to let me know anything. I got a email to let me know who to contact they said they could not help me take my certification test. The agreement that I signed was for them to place me on a extern sight and to give me materials from the school that I never receieved and then they told me I would have a graduation that I will never have. They told me bussiness wise it would be professional and it never was. I tried calling them no one returned my phone calls. I do not feel the need to have to pay a 10,000 loan . This school is very very horrible.Desired Settlement: I would like to not have to pay a 10,000 loan because of there horrible services

Review: I am a student at Anthem in Parsippany, NJ. I enrolled in a 10/11 month Medical Billing Course in October 2013. In order to finance this program I needed to take out two loans, one aprox $10,000.00 through the school's financial arm, Tuition options which seems to be part of its investment firm [redacted] and part through Federal Loan in the amount of $6,200.00. I have had [redacted] grade, and attendance with the exception of a 3 month medical leave of absent. When I returned from my leave, I picked up where I left off on my revolving program. It was soon after that I was notified that the school as in the process of being sold, or the possibility it would close in or around September 15, 2014. Students were all assembled for a school meeting around the missile of June to explain the school would be working on teach out and transfer options and would begin to have potential schools come in to tell uf about their programs. We heard nothing until this past Tuesday, August 19, 2014, we were told the school would close on Friday August 22, 2014. Today wrought word of mouth from the students we were frantically thrown into an education shopping session at the school. Several schools showed up to tell us about there programs, but none could give any students specifics as no deals have been made with our current school in regard to any teach out programs, credit transfer options and or what kind of financial obligations or cost we may or may not incur. Due to my leave of absent, I still have 3 months of class left as well as the mandatory 6 week externship requires to complete my program. I feel I am one of the more fortunate students as I am so close to graduating but I also feel the school has not been honest and open and has not acted as out advocates during this difficult process yet, they have been pain in full by both the student loan company as well as by the federal loan system. Since no one will give specific details I have begun this complaint.Desired Settlement: I signed up for continued education for a purpose to content my education. Anthem failed to provide their contractual obligations, I wish to receive a full refund of monies received by Anthem as a result of failure to provide services.
