Review: On 08/08/14 I requested ordering a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 compact their order # [redacted] from Anthony Arms and put the amount required by them $130.00 on my debit card. The employee handling the transaction was [redacted]. On 08/13/14 I was called by Anthony Arms informing me that my firearm was in. I went to the store and requested that I do a layaway putting an additional $130.00 on my debit card. I did this through their employee [redacted] On Tuesday 08/19/14 I spoke with an unidentified employee and informed I would like to cancel my layaway and get refunded. I was informed that was no problem. On Wednesday 08/20/14 I went to Anthony Arms and informed I wanted to cancel my layaway and the employee went and got who I believe was either the manager or owner who stated "you know there is a $50.00 restocking fee?" I informed him I was never informed at the time of ordering or putting additional money down on the layaway that there was a restocking fee. He stated all employees know this and I once again stated that no one ever mentioned a restocking fee nor was it on the two receipts that I have in my possession. He gave me $210.00 in cash and I informed him I would lodge a formal complaint with the Revdex.com on his practices. Other than never being informed nor having on their receipt about the restocking fee the bottom line is I never even took possession of the gun which they had in their store since the beginning and if I even knew of this fee I never would have ordered nor requested a layaway on this purchase.Desired Settlement: I would like to have refunded to me the $50.00 that I believe they wrongfully charged and took from me.
