Review: I took my car Friday at 11:am to Anthony auto on [redacted]. The Mechanic Walter told me they could install new ball joints on the left side of my car and replace the rack & pinion boots for $200.00. I was told to leave my car. I got a call stating I had the wrong rack & pinion boots and they could order the right ones.Saturday at 11:30am, I was told the order was a special order and I could get them installed Monday. Then I was told the ball joints I brought were for the right side,when I looked at the box, one of the pieces was missing. I ordered the parts from [redacted] parts and received an email from the Manager that they were in fact the right parts. Then Walter told me I had to pay in FuLL before I could take my car. He contacted the Owner and he called me saying I had to pay $170.00 before I left and they would only charge me $30.00 to put the boots on Monday. I paid it and left to get the tires.I went to get the tires only to find out that the wheel lock key was missing. I left [redacted] and went back to Anthony Auto only to get the run around and was told to come back on Monday. I spoke with the Owner and he further gave me the run around. A red flag went up and I took the car to another Mechanic only to learn, that the ball joints I purchased were correct and Anthony Auto had not installed anything on my car. I tried to call the Owner again and he wouldn't return my call. They have $170.00 of my money for nothing. If you're a female do not use this repair place, they will rip you off.Desired Settlement: Anthony Auto did not install the ball joints on my car and had not yet done work on my car. They lied. They wasted my time, they wasted my gas and yet another day I had to take off to try to get my wheel lock key back so that I can at least go get the tires. The Owner was rude when I spoke to him that one time and I want others to know about my ordeal, especially females.
