[redacted] happened to be a old friend, did not live up to his word. Installed a new roof on my building, I still have problems with leaks all over I paid $7000 in cash he never returned my calls or came back to fix anything. Totally unprofessional and incompetent in that line of work including all his workers they have zero experience in any type of construction. I would never recommend his services.

Review: This complaint is against Anthony Multari. He does NOT live at [redacted]. as he states. His REAL address is [redacted]. He is FALSELY using the Co. name of [redacted] who retired after 40 yrs. who has moved out of the city and is also using this man's previous address, along with his name on the contract! He is NOT F. Stock Co. as he wants people to believe which was a reputable co. in the area for years! This is why others and I called to hire, unknowingly to be taken by [redacted] who said he bought out the Stock Co. name. I have since spoken to [redacted]'s daughter and none of it is true. [redacted] did not sell his name, company or previous address to [redacted], not even knowing him. In this complaint and any others for the record, out of respect for [redacted], as well as the other innocent families living there now, [redacted]'s address should be CHANGED to his correct one, [redacted], where he lives. All of his information are LIES that he's given out and the only thing that works now is his last phone which is indicated on here, as the other has been turned off. In March 2013, I hired [redacted] for roofing and gutters as my house sustained damage from Hurricane Sandy. He asked for a down payment of $1200 which I gave him and the next week he came back, needing more $ for the gutters, when I gave him another $400, a total amount of $1600 cash. The job was to replace the 1/2 of my upper roof, the small porch roof, with 2 gutters, front and side. He told me that he would start the job in a week or 2, in March 2013. I was also given a 10 yr. warranty on the job to be done. Upon not hearing from him, I began leaving numerous messages, seemingly he disappeared, not showing up or even returning my calls after getting the $1600 cash from me. After an intervention, he showed up at my door in the end of May, saying he was still going to do the job. I reluctantly agreed, knowing I couldn't get my cash back from him and he came back with a worker, who put a few shingles on my front overhang by the porch, which was only a tid-bit of the big, main job he was hired for and in doing so, unclamped my good gutter which fell off, now in my garage. Anyone could have done that but he was hired for the upper roof and gutters replacement. I now know that he had the worker do that little bit so that I would not report him or cause him an problems. During this whole thing, I have been more than civil with him during the phone call messages, which he could even attest to. The last time I called him was a week ago, asking for him to at least call me back so we can talk and make some sort of arrangement, but he doesn't, just avoiding and disappearing with my money. It is now almost FIVE months that I gave him the money and I now know that this was his way of robbing me, so now he's hiding. [redacted] told me he was licensed, which we found out he is NOT! It has been a nightmare for me and I want my $1600 back. He took advantage of me due to the storm damage and he knows of the many health problems I have but I believed in him. I don't know if there are others out there whose money he took also but everyone should know of his tactics and the truth about who he really is, the fact of where he lives etc.! He has at least 2 or more new trucks, which should be sold to pay me back as the money I gave him is obviously gone!Desired Settlement: As I mention above, I believe he has spent my money and want my cash back. I'm sure he will say he doesn't have it, but he can sell one of his new trucks to get the money to reimburse me. This has gone on for too long.
