I wished to have my vehicle towed from their lot to the car dealership (where it was to have work done.) I called Triple A in order to schedule a tow for my vehicle (around 3pm) they said it would take about minutesI reported this to Ankenbrandt's towingI explained to them that Triple A usually takes a little longer than they say, to arriveAnkenbrandt's towing then proceeded to tell me that If they were even a minute past 5pm, they would not permit Triple A to pick up the vehicleThey then immediately proceeded to tell me that they would be able to tow it for an extra 120$After I payed them they said I could expect for them to tow the vehicle there by TuesdayI was extremely flabergasted and asked why? he said, because "we will get to it when we canIt could be today, tomorrow, or any other day this week." Overall, it seemed like they did this to squeeze as much out of me (the customer), as they couldVERY BAD BUSINESS TACTICS, THUS I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM
My son got into an accident on Friday night at 11:45 pm, the police towed his vehicle to Ankenbrandts. On Saturday morning at 9:10am I called and wanted to get his car out of the impound lot and they tell me its $224.15 CASH ONLY. Because its a police tow its cash only ???? So I said I would not be able to get the cash until Monday my bank was closed. I only had a credit card or personal check. I told them I was a business owner in Toledo for 31 years at the same location.The owner said to me, cant you here what I just said its cash only. So I asked how much will it it would cost to get the vehicle out on Monday, he said $231.85 . So I call on Monday with cash ready to head there and ask the price again and now they tell me its $269.00. This is who the police use ? What a misrepresentation of justice. My son is 22 years old and makes $9.50 hr and gets taken advantage of deceptive towing company.
