purchase all materials themselves in order to cut expenses. The delays were due to incorrect product and incorrect amounts of product ordered. I keep a log book of every job and in the book I show that tile didn't come in until 3/12 and was an incorrect amount we had to stop in the middle of the job to wait for more tile. The customer blamed my company for this delay saying I should have ordered the tile and then they proceeded to change the contract over and over again to cut costs and changed it again when they realized they couldn't do the work themselves. I have a total of 22 amendments to the original contract. This was a 3000$ bathroom job. I did offer a one year warranty on all labor, however I do not warranty parts when I do not buy them. Also the shower door was never on the contract. I told the costumer I wasn't sure how it went on because they ordered it from a company in [redacted] that I had never dealt with and my price initially was out of their budget. They ended up ordering the door and contacting me 3 weeks after the job was finished. I was unable to fit them on my schedule due to health issues at the time so I recommended another company that I had heard installed shower doors. [redacted] went out and installed the door. The gentlemen were not employed by me nor was the shower door part of my contract which is why the customer paid my final invoice upon completion of my contract.[redacted] contacted me on July 1 stating that the other company had not been back out to fix issues with the shower door and that it was my responsibility since I was the original contractor. I explained that it had nothing to do with me and that I am completely unfamiliar with the product so it would do no good for me to come out. I spoke with the other company who said they had her on the schedule for July 5th. I have been on vacation in [redacted] until today when I received this letter. I have spoken with [redacted] who stated that they went out on the 5th and fixed the faucet and are getting parts for the door (manufacturing issues not install).The issues where not the responsibility of myself or my company however I have done everything possible to help the customer resolve these issues.Thank You,[redacted]
