Anthony's Remodeling Contractors Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This response is packed with both partial truths and outright non-truths. I appreciate the Revdex.com addressing this matter but, at this point, I feel that it is best for me to make my case in a court of law.
Regards,

2016                                      ... CERTIFIED MAIL   Revdex.com 60 Reads Way New Castle, DE  19720   SUBJECT:  Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]   Dear Revdex.com:              On July 18, 2016, a complaint letter was received from the Revdex.com via USPS.  This letter stated the complaint was made by [redacted].  Our company did not contract with anyone named [redacted]. However, we have a contract with [redacted]. This letter serves as Anthony’s Remodeling Contractors response stating facts, and denying all false allegations by [redacted] in an attempt to get a refund or otherwise.              On May 31, 2016, [redacted] signed a labor only contract with Anthony’s Remodeling Contractors to remove a section of damaged subfloor in a dining room and laundry room. The contract also included inspecting floor joists for damage, installing new subflooring, and sheetrock on a wall between the dining room and laundry room, replacing water damaged sheetrock on wall with finishing to match existing walls, installing laminate flooring in living room, dining area and hallway, installing baseboard molding without painting.  All materials to be provided by the customer [redacted]. (See Attached contract signed by [redacted].)              The property referenced is a mobile home sitting on blocks.  The reason for having to do the items listed above was due to a leaking water heater that had been leaking for several months and caused damage to the customer [redacted]’s mobile home.  The customer filed an insurance claim for money to fix the items listed above which insurance paid for.  The Insurance Commissioner’s Office has been notified. Also, please note that [redacted] claims that our company created water damage in the home when we were hired to correct existing water damage.              [redacted] paid AFTER the job was completed and inspected satisfactory. Proof can be provided via check paid and bank records after completion and satisfactory inspection by the customer [redacted].               All correct measures were taken when installing the laminate flooring provided by customer [redacted].              All other allegations listed in the complaint are a complete false and pointless.  On Friday, June 3, 2016, the majority of the work was completed including laminate flooring except for a few items requested as EXTRA by the customer [redacted] NOT listed on the contract, the pantry closet stick on tiles, one piece of 8 foot baseboard molding for hallway leading to bedroom, and light spackling and filling in nail holes, due to [redacted] not having the materials to finish. [redacted] ordered the necessary materials from the local home improvement store. [redacted], [redacted] and employees with Anthony’s Remodeling inspected the work on this date and walked around the project to verify it was done to the customer’s satisfaction.  The customer, [redacted], after reviewing the work stated “thank you, you did a wonderful job and I’m very pleased with the work you and your crew did.”  [redacted] paid the majority of the balance except for $200.00, as stated on the contract to come back to finish the pantry stick on tiles, the 8 foot baseboard molding for in hallway leading to bedroom, and light spackling and fill in nail holes due to materials needing to be ordered by customer which were the extra items requested by the customer.                When majority of work was completed on June 3, 2016, Anthony’s Remodeling owner [redacted] and employees took numerous pictures of the work completed for the customer [redacted] which clearly shows NO damages of any kind. (See Attached pictures.)              On June 10, 2016, 7 days after the job was completed, the customer [redacted] contacted Anthony’s Remodeling Contractor via phone (which was on speaker so others overheard), stating “Would you be kind enough to help me out?  I have had a really bad day.  My lawn mower engine just died, the wind blew down my barbeque, and now there are a few scratches on the new laminate flooring you finished over a week ago.  Can you please help me out?  It’s not really a big deal to me, but you know if my wife isn’t happy, I am not happy. Can you please help me out by coming by and trying to buff scratches out?  I have had a really bad day.”  Anthony’s remodeling responded sure, I will come by and take a look and see if I can help you out, but I cannot guarantee that I can remove scratches,  I will come by tomorrow, Saturday June 11, 2016 to take a look.               On June 11, 2016, Anthony’s Remodeling did arrive at the customer [redacted]’s mobile home.  After arriving, Anthony’s Remodeling saw 3 visible scratches in the walk way. And is NOT able to remove the scratches and recommended the customer contact the Manufacturer and the Home Improvement store where purchased to see if there is a warranty.              Anthony’s Remodeling took pictures close up after the work was done and a the pictures showed NO visible scratches.  Anthony’s Remodeling explained to the customer [redacted] we are NOT responsible for damages caused after leaving a job site. Anthony’s Remodeling came out and evaluated the 3 scratches but are unable to assist the customer [redacted] in removing the scratches. We did NOT purchase the flooring, guarantee the flooring or manufacture the flooring.  The customer [redacted] purchased the flooring from the local home improvement store.  Anthony’s Remodeling explained it would be advantageous to contact the manufacturer or the home improvement store where purchased the flooring to see if they warrantee the flooring.  Anthony’s Remodeling explained I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything else to help you.  Anthony’s Remodeling explained that we have done all we can but we did not cause the damage.  The client immediately became nasty demanding that Anthony’s remodeling better purchase new flooring and install it all for FREE.  Anthony’s Remodeling again explained to the customer we are NOT responsible for any damages caused by the property owner. It should be noted that [redacted] is alleging that Anthony’s remodeling caused the scratches, yet he has no proof to support his claim as no one witnessed any employee of Anthony’s remodeling cause any damage.                On June 13, 2016, the customer [redacted] texted Anthony’s Remodeling stating the materials ordered were in to finish pantry.  Anthony’s Remodeling informed the customer they would be there as soon as possible as we were currently in the middle of other projects but would be there as soon as possible.              On June 15, 2016, Anthony’s Remodeling informed the customer [redacted] we can come to complete the extra items requested by the customer NOT listed on the contract, and NOT paid for by the customer as agreed.  Anthony’s Remodeling arrived and finished the extra items the customer requested NOT listed on the contract and NOT paid for by the customer as agreed.              All throughout this project, Anthony’s Remodeling was professional, helpful, accommodating, and completed the work.  Upon completing the job, the customer [redacted] did NOT pay the remaining balance owed for the extra items requested to be done, noted on the contract, and noted on the check, did not reimburse Anthony’s Remodeling for trash removal, or picking up materials the customer ordered and paid for as stated in the contract.              On June 15, 2016, Anthony’s Remodeling emailed the customer [redacted] explaining the same as above that we are NOT responsible for any damages caused by homeowners and offered the customer advice to contact the home improvement store where purchased the flooring or the manufacturer to see if the flooring was covered under a warranty. The customer [redacted] stated to Anthony’s Remodeling before we installed the laminate flooring that he purchased this particular laminate flooring because the home improvement store associate explained to him it was scratch proof which is why he purchased it because he had damages and scratches to his previous flooring from his large dog.              On July 13, 2016, the customer [redacted]’s wife [redacted] had relatives, friends, and herself bashing our Facebook website leaving poor reviews, contacted the Revdex.com and more.  We contacted our Attorney and Facebook immediately to inform of the situation. We did NO work for these people nor was any contract in [redacted]’s wife’s name.  The contract was in [redacted]’s name ONLY.  Secondly, [redacted] owed a balance.              We have contacted our Attorney and we are seeking legal action against the customer for discrimination,  harassment, threats, cyber bullying, stalking, extortion, intimidation, hate crimes, Menacing utter threats, threatening voice mails, texts, emails, false character reviews, defamation of character, Attorney fees, court costs, 5% of balance not paid as signed in our contract, property liens, monetary damages and more.                As stated above, Anthony’s Remodeling is NOT responsible for any damages to [redacted] because:            1. Anthony’s remodeling did not contract with her for work            2. Anthony’s remodeling did not supply the wood or any supplies            3. Anthony’s remodeling did a walkthrough of the work once completed with [redacted] and there was no sign of damage or scratches            4. There are photos taken of the work right after completion with no signs of damage.            5.  Anthony’s remodeling believes [redacted] and [redacted] are purposely trying to destroy our reputation because we will not install new floors. Attached please find a threaten voicemail from [redacted] to [redacted] where Mr. Furman indicates “You are toast my friend.” Moreover, people who are not and never have been customers of Anthony’s remodeling have created false reviews on Facebook and other websites.              Should the Revdex.com have any further questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Thank you.                                             ... Sincerely,                                               ... Anthony’s Remodeling Contractor   cc: Attorney       File
