youcancel or do not show for the visit. We do require that this fee is paid prior to your consultationeither by credit card. llu prospective patients who book an appointment with us are made clearlyaware of this and are required to pay this fee in order to schedule. This policy has been in placesince 2010.Regretfully, we’ve had to institute this policy due to the extremely busy nature of our practice inorder to avoid last minute cancellations, scheduling changes, and no-shows, which theninterferes with the schedules of the doctor and inconveniences those patients trying to be seen ina more timely fashion.I hope this elucidates the matter fully. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Review: On February 17, 2015 I made an appointment with the Anti-Aging & Longevity Center of Pittsburgh, PA for March 24, 2015. The receptionist told me there was a $100.00 "Holding Fee" to which I agreed since I didn't have a choice. I made this appointment for myself and a friend, so the holding fee amounted to $200 which was charged to my credit card. On Feb. 24 I called to cancel this appointment and assumed that the holding fee would be refunded and credited to my credit card. When this did not happen after several days, I called again and was informed by the receptionist that this holding fee was non-refundable. I don't remember if I was informed about the non-refundable holding fee when I made the appointment but I think I would have thought twice about it. Regardless, I find this business practice quite unethical.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full amount of $200.
