Review: I shipped 2 coke machines to Antique Vending Co on 7-17-13. One of them was to be restored and the other was to be used for credit toward the restoration cost. I was promised it would be restored in approximately 3 months. As of today, June 27, 2014, I continue to get excuses as to why the job us still incomplete. I have made numerous attempts to contact Allen. Sometimes he answers my calls/texts and sometimes they go unanswered for days until I call back. I have already prepaid 50% of the bill. I have been mislead about the stage of completion many times and gotten the run around too long.Desired Settlement: My first option would be to have the job completed. At this point, I truly don't know how much work had been done on it. He was supposed to restore the inside and paint the outside. If the job can be completed correctly in a timely manner, I would like to have the job finished. If work has not even been started on it, I would like a full refund and both machines shipped back at his cost.

Review: I placed an order with Alan H[redacted] (Antiquities Vending Company) - 30 South Main Street Granite Falls N.C. 28630 On April 22, 2014 (One year ago) for a Royal Crown Kelvinator 180 Soda Machine. At that time I provided him a deposit (1900.00 Dollars -- half of total). He noted that restoring the identified machine in his inventory would take 3-4 months.(I can provide the paypal transaction number for the deposit)There have been numerous issues/storie he keeps noting that have delayed him and a number of times in the last 3- 4 months where he has indicated that the machine would be ready and shippedthat week that I contact him but nothing gets done.It is now been a year and I requested a refund of my deposit on April 16, 2015 and he indicated he would be placing a check in the mail which I have not received.Desired Settlement: Return the 1900.00 deposit of my money that he has been sitting on w/o any further delay.

Review: Been waiting over 2 years on [redacted] to restore a vendo 39 refrigeration unit (coca-cola).Heard every excuse why it's taking so long. Already paid for the repair. Said it was ready and would ship it out DEC 1st 2014. This is about the 10th time he said it was ready and would ship it out the next day.Desired Settlement: Restore the unit and ship it to me asap.

Review: On May 22, 2014 I sent Alan H[redacted], via PayPal, $600 for a refrigeration unit for my antique Westinghouse coke cooler. After numerous phone calls and text messages, and promises that it was going to be shipped, I still haven't received it. On August 8, I asked for a refund. Alan H[redacted] said he would refund my money that week. I haven't received the refund he promised and now he isn't answering calls from me or replying to my text messages.Desired Settlement: Refund of $600.

Review: I sent [redacted] of Antique Vending a Mills 65 Coke machine to be restored with a $1500 down payment through [redacted] in May of 2005. He gave me excuse after excuse of why I haven't received my machine year after year. He has been promising me over and over that it was done and he was shipping it out. 9 years later I still do not have my machine. [redacted] is the biggest liar/scammer I have ever come across. I have to call from different phone numbers to catch him off guard as he would not answers phone calls or messages.Desired Settlement: I want my Mills 65 machine back as well as my $1500 down payment refunded or the completely restored machine which I will personally come pick up.

Review: This Pepsi Machine was ordered to be bought and restored in January 2014. Credit Card payment of $3,800 was issued and I have email receipt in hand. Countless promises of machine in process of restoration and pending shipment dates. All false.Contact his attorney: Neil B[redacted]I have talked to Mr. B[redacted] about Mr. H[redacted] and it is a sad litany of a man who doesn't keep his word.Customer Fraud should be filed as "according to Mr. B[redacted]" I am not the first customer to be had by far.Thank You, [redacted]Desired Settlement: My Pepsi Cooler shipped to me, plus certified check for $4,000 issued to me. Review: Sent our VMC 33 coke machine (including a 1400.00 deposit) to Mr. H[redacted] in October 2013 to be fully restored. He said it would take 2-3 months. A year later still no machine. After e-mails and phone calls he said it was in the paint shop and would send photos. Finally received photos of a machine that was not ours and have not heard from him since.Desired Settlement: Would like our restored VMC 33 back or a full refund with the unrestored machine.

Review: Contacted Mr.Alan H[redacted] 10/1/13, inquired about cost of restoring a 1940's Heintz Pepsi Cooler to original factory correct condition and length of time involved. He stated total cost as $1850 and taking two months to complete. We agreed on the price. Cooler was delivered to Alan on 10/17/13. I paid Alan $925 deposit 10/11/13, half the cost of restoration. Agreed balance would be due when work was completed. Contacted Alan early 2014, inquiring about progress. At this point, Alan gave the first of many excuses why cooler was not finished. Month after month he continued to provide various reasons why no progress was made. Alan frequently did not answer his phone. When he did, he provided more excuses and was unable to show any work accomplished. Extensive texting produced the same results. It wasn't until Mar 2015, nearly 17 months in that progress was made. Suddenly, Alan sent photos of work accomplished and requested another payment based on work done. I reminded him that remainder was not due until all work was completed. Alan's demeanor changed, becoming annoyed I was unwilling to send more money. At one point, Alan stated cooler originally had refrigeration, he could install that for $300. After I agreed, he again insisted on receiving more money. I resisted; he became belligerent and threatened to pack up the cooler and send it back unfinished. We reached an agreement and I paid him $700 on 3/26/15; holding back $200 of original cost + $300 for refrigeration. Have spent last 6 months trying to get Alan to complete work he was hired for 23 months ago; a restoration job originally estimated at 2 months. I have nothing but excuses, while Alan has $1625 of my money and my cooler. On 9/14/15, he again threatened to return unfinished cooler because of my insistence on results. Hope you are able to assist with what has become a very frustrating situation; dealing with an individual who should not be in business. Other vendors in restoration industry now advise not sending anything to Alan.Desired Settlement: That Alan immediately complete the work on the cooler as was agreed upon. That the restoration is of high quality and done to my satisfaction, and that he return my cooler once completed.

Review: I paid Alan $3300 for my Mills 65 Coca Cola Machine to be fully restored 9 years ago. I have the receipt that states paid in full. I have yet to receive my machine. He has lied to me time and time again with a delivery date promising it would be finished. His latest date was Oct. 1, 2014 in which he failed to have it restored and delivered.Desired Settlement: I want my fully restored machine delivered to my doorstep. I do not want a refund, I want what I paid for.

Review: I ordered an antique coke vending machine on Feb. 8,2013. It was a Vendo 81 coke machine. I paid him in full on that date. Since then I get messages from him that he will be mailing the next week. I have several emails and texted messages that I have kept . Is there anything you can do to assist?Desired Settlement: I would still like the machine, but I will except the refund.

Review: I heard of Antiquities Vending Company via a [redacted] article praising Alan H[redacted] workmanship on vintage coke machines. Based on this article, I reached out to have Mr. H[redacted] restore my coke machine. We agreed on the restoration terms and conditions and I paid the required deposit amount. At the present time, we are past our agreed upon timeline and I am getting very little updates. I reach out and the replies are excuses - 1) I will need to call you back 2) I got your machine confused with another customer 3) we are now painting in house so we are running behind 4) etc...I do not know if he still has my machine, if work has truly been started, etc. I have expressed my concerns about his lack of communication and have repeatedly asked for pictures and a firm deadline for pick up. I have received nothing in return. I should have researched this company prior to engaging and dropping off my property with a deposit.Desired Settlement: At this point, I either want my machine restored as promised or a full refund with my machine in tact (no parts missing).

Review: The owner told me he could repair the compressor for my vintage coke machine. I sent it to him and he charged my credit card $450, he sent it back to me and it didn't work. I sent it to him again, he said it had been repaired, when I hooked it up it still didn't work. I sent to him again. He has promised for weeks that he is returning it and promises tracking numbers that I never receive. He will not answer my texts or phone calls.Desired Settlement: I want my compressor, a full $450 refund and reimbursed for the shipping costs. Or a refund of $800 to purchase a new compressor.
