Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My complaint had nothing to do with not having an account number or my payments being applied to another loanWhen I called Antix to question the interest rate I indicated I was unable to provide an account number because there wasn’t one any of my monthly statementsI did advise at that time that I was upset that over 50% of our payment was being applied to the interestWhen I asked for an explanation that is when I was advised they used Outlook to bill their customersThey could not explain the amount being applied to the interest There was no explanation about an unsecured loanI was simply told that [redacted] was the individual who could change the rate I continue to question their billing practiceIf they were using Outlook why would they have to manually adjust the interest each month? Wouldn’t the software accurately calculate interestAlso each monthly statement showed we had over $1,as over days past dueWouldn’t that affect how our interest was being calculated? Payments were automatically withdrawn from our checking account so how was our account ever at an overdue status? If I'm the first or the millionth customer to complain about the interest rate is not relevant or my concernI have NEVER been charged 50% interest on any product I've purchased and I'm almost years old! I still believe I was overcharged Sincerely, [redacted] ***

The program we have and use is Quick Books which is an accounting software programIt only allows for one interest rate to be entered in the system for those customers carrying a balance There is not a way to enter a specific interest rate to a specific clients accountMonthly payments are manually entered and applied each month to each customers account on their due dateSince we reduced the interest rate for the ***’s the interest had to be manually figured and adjusted each month The very first full month of interest, at the original interest was the November 8, payment The $payment was applied and interest was calculated on the balance of $2,which works out to $47.46, days of interest at $per day bringing the balance to $2,December ,the $payment was applied, interest was calculated on the balance of $2,and a $finance charge was added, days of interest at $per day June 15, was when [redacted] called in upset about the finance charges and asked about lowering the interest rate Yes, we did need to talk to the owner of the Company, [redacted] , about lowering the interest rate since he is the only one that has the authority to make that decisionWe called [redacted] back and let her know that [redacted] lowered the rate and that we would go back and adjust the finance charge for that month to reflect the lower rate (which we did not have) Unfortunately Quick Book’s is an accounting program and is limited on how the monthly statements look and printIt is unable to manipulate the actual printed statements to remove the bottom line that makes reference to past due amounts The ***’s were never past due on their loan, were never assessed late fee’s or had the finance charge figured differentlyMonthly Payments were applied, the finance charge calculated on the new lower amount and assessed the following day We feel that we have gone above and beyond by lowering their interest rate from the stated rate on the loan contract that they signed We do apologize if it was not explained over the phone how Quick Books calculates finance charges each month, it should of been addressed and we are not sure why it was not on our end

*** entered our drawing at the Northwest Vegfest for a dinner demo and a 8” skillet without a cover (which is displayed on the front table). We drew ***’s name, called her and set up a dinner demo for December 4, 2015. When a hostess has three or more couples at their
dinner we upgrade the skillet, it is the same size (8”) but has a mirrored finish on the inside and has a lid with a thermal knob. *** confirmed with us for a total of people so qualified for the upgraded pan (Platinum 8” skillet with cover)
The Chef that was assigned to ***’s dinner called in on Thursday, December 3rd and informed us that due to unexpected circumstances she she was unable to cook on Friday. Unfortunately all our Chefs were booked that Friday evening, including our reserve Chefs so we had no one available to cook ***’s dinnerAs soon as we realized this we emailed *** to apologize and let her know the situation. She responded and said she wanted a “superior” to call her and the owner of the Company did and again apologized and let her know we would mail out her upgraded skillet. We do our best to keep our scheduled dinner appointments but occasionally there are times when something happens with a Chef that is beyond our controlWe normally call one of our back up Chefs but in this particular case everyone was booked. We have a menu that our Chefs plan for Vegan meals but *** wanted to provide her own “fake” meat for our Chef to cook for her guests in addition to what was going to be preparedThis is not something we normally do but we made an exception Our Chefs normally will cook for up to a maximum of ten guests (which is clearly noted in the confirmation email that we send via email) and she had fourteen people confirmed for that Friday evening and again we made an exception We feel badly and understand ***’s frustration but there was nothing we could possibly do but reschedule or mail the upgraded skillet to her.
I personally mailed *** the upgraded Platinum 8” Skillet with cover on December 8th, and since it was in an unopened shrink-wrapped box (exactly how we received if from the Manufacturer) I did not open the box and inspect the pan. We are an honorable company and would not purposefully send out used merchandiseWe would be happy to exchange the skillet for *** but will need to get the pan she received back from her. The manufacturer does not have printed material, everything is available online. However, there should of been a piece of paper from the Manufacturer included with a link to the online video We have no problem mailing that information to ***
We have not received a phone call or any correspondence from *** regarding her concern with the pan, or wanting instructions etc. If we had then we would of addressed and resolved her concerns at onceWe had no idea there were any issues thus have not been given the opportunity to make things right
The mailing address of where the skillet needs to be sent to for replacement:

*** and *** *** financed a cookware set on 09/20/for $3,and put $Down. The amount financed was $2,Their first automatic payment withdrawal of $was on 10/8/2014. The first interest charge of $was not a full month of interest but a partial month
since the cookware was purchased on the 20th of Sept and the first payment was on the 8th of Oct
All loans that we approve are unsecured thus the interest rate reflects the higher risk involved since there is not collateral to secure the loan. The interest rate is stated on the back of the finance credit application form, which the ***’s were given a copy of the night they completed and signed the paperwork
On June 15, *** called the office regarding the interest rate and asked if we would be willing to reduce the rate. This is not something that we normally do but because they were both so upset and we wanted to work with them, the owner agreed to reduce the interest rate. So from June onward the ***’s were charged an interest rate much lower than what is stated on the contract. The accounting system we use is Quick Books and we send monthly statements to our finance clients using this systemClients are entered and kept track of by their first and last name. We have never had a problem or issue with a customer because there was not an account number. All monthly payments received from our finance clients have always been applied to the correct loan and we have been in this line of business for over twenty years
Since *** and *** were the only loan clients that had a lower monthly interest rate we had to manually calculate the finance charge each month and then adjust it in our system. The February 2016 interest charge of $was an error on our end The finance charge should of been $but we did not go back and adjust it since the statement had already been sent out and the error was in their favor. The ***’s were mailed a refund check of $that went out with their final statementThis was for an overcharge of interest on April 9, ($24.78) that was not caught until after the payoff quote of $1,was verbally given to *** over the phone. The error was corrected and the difference of $was refunded via check
We have been financing cookware for years and this is the first time that we have had a customer complain about the interest rate. This was an unsecured loan and we went out of our way to reduce the interest rate, which is not our practiceWe have been very accommodating and have corrected any over charges of interest

The program we have and use is Quick Books which is an accounting software program. It only allows for one interest rate to be entered in the system for those customers carrying a balance.  There is not a way to enter a specific interest rate to a specific clients account. Monthly payments are manually entered and applied each month to each customers account on their due date. Since we reduced the interest rate for the [redacted]’s the interest had to be manually figured and adjusted each month.
The very first full month of interest, at the original interest was the November 8, 2014 payment.  The $84 payment was applied and interest was calculated on the balance of $2,660.68 which works out to $47.46, 31 days of interest at $1.53 per day bringing the balance to $2,708.14. December 8 ,2014 the $84 payment was applied, interest was calculated on the balance of $2,624.14 and a $45.29 finance charge was added, 30 days of interest at $1.51 per day.
June 15, 2015 was when [redacted] called in upset about the finance charges and asked about lowering the interest rate.  Yes, we did need to talk to the owner of the Company, [redacted], about lowering the interest rate since he is the only one that has the authority to make that decision. We called [redacted] back and let her know that [redacted] lowered the rate and that we would go back and adjust the finance charge for that month to reflect the lower rate (which we did not have).
Unfortunately Quick Book’s is an accounting program and is limited on how the monthly statements look and print. It is unable to manipulate the actual printed statements to remove the bottom line that makes reference to past due amounts.  The [redacted]’s were never past due on their loan, were never assessed late fee’s or had the finance charge figured differently. Monthly Payments were applied, the finance charge calculated on the new lower amount and assessed the following day.

We feel that we have gone above and beyond by lowering their interest rate from the stated rate on the loan contract that they signed.  We do apologize if it was not explained over the phone how Quick Books calculates finance charges each month, it should of been addressed and we are not sure why it was not on our end.
