how she would like her hair. [redacted] said she had been box coloring her hair at home so I explained to her that I would not be able to get the color she wants in one step without damaging her hair. I suggested to [redacted] that I color her roots and add highlights to get the overall look to appear lighter. I showed [redacted] the length I would be taking off her bangs and she agreed. She also agreed to the length I would be taking off of her layers and length. Before I got started I told [redacted] it will be $40 for the haircut, $45 for the root touch up (base color) and around $60 for the partial highlight and $17 for the toner. [redacted] agreed to the price of the services before I began. I left [redacted] color and highlight on for as long as I could and let her know that the highlights did not lift as much as we had hoped for due to the previous color coating on her hair.  As I had her at the shampoo bowl I consulted with another stylist for a couple of minutes which is a very common practice for stylist to do when we have difficulty with a clients hair. I then applied a toner and she sat for 15 minutes while the toner processed. I explained to [redacted] that at her next visit we can re-lighten her highlights and keep going lighter. I asked [redacted] if she liked everything and she said yes.  I did not get the feeling that she was unhappy. I walked her up to the front desk and she was cashed out. The next night [redacted] left a message on Antoine's facebook as to how terrible everything was for her visit. My boss ([redacted]) quickly responded to the message apologizing and asking permission to contact her via phone. [redacted] then spoke with [redacted] and asked for her to come in and we would be happy to fix what she did not like and also refund her for the haircut if she felt we could not fix it.     My name is [redacted] and I was working the evening that [redacted] came in to get her hair done. She was only booked for touch up color and a cut/fininsh. [redacted] brought me [redacted] ticket and told me that she consulted with [redacted] and they were going to be adding a partial highlight and toner to the original appointment. The ticket said touchup color $45, Pt. highlight $65, cut/finish $40 and toner $17. I asked [redacted] at that time if [redacted] was aware of these prices and she told me yes. When [redacted] came up to pay I asked her "How was everything this evening"  She told me everything was good and that she wanted to add a $10 gratuity on her credit card. The next evening as [redacted] said, she wrote a very disturbing message to our facebook. I  told her that it was my concern to make her happy and when would be a good time that I could call her to discuss the situation. She told me I could call Monday or Wednesday after 4:30. I called her on Monday around 5:00. She was very upset and was demanding all of her money back. I told her that we guarantee all of our color services and would like her to come back in so that we could make thing right by her. I also offered to fix the haircut that she was unhappy with and she said she felt it could not be fixed. I explained to her that color can always be fixed. Since she felt there was no way to fix the haircut I told her I would be happy to refund her money for the cut and the gratuity but she was insistent on a full refund. I asked her why she she did not tell me that night when I asked her how everything was that she was unhappy. She told me that I asked her if she liked it  and her response was "no" and that I ignored that and asked her to pay. I was very offended by that. We strive to make every client happy! I would never, ever, ever! ignore a client who told me they did not like there hair. I would still like [redacted] to come back in so that we may make the necessary adjustments to her color.  If [redacted] feels her cut is that awful and cannot be fixed I am happy to give her the full $40 refund +the $10 gratuity.Sincerely, [redacted] (stylist)[redacted] (owner)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear I was never told my [redacted] about the "touch-up" price. I even told her "so it'll be around $120" and she said "yes". [redacted] also told me that my highlights would be a light brown color and they're the same dark red color I've been dying my hair by myself for the past year. The whole point of me going to this place was because I don't know how to lighten my hair by myself, and this place didn't lighten it what so ever. If I would've known they didn't know how to they should've told me so I could've gone somewhere else. But obviously this place is a scam not telling customers the real price or doing what they came in there for. I will take the $50 refund, but I would like my full refund back for a service I didn't want and was told a lesser price from the start. I can't believe that anyone would think that after how horribly I've been treated from this place from both [redacted] and [redacted] and how awful my hair looks now, that anyone could honestly suggest going back to this place and trusting them to "fix it".
