Review: I gave Anton's Plumbing the ok to clean a sewer lateral if needed for a video inspection. They did it on Friday and called me today to say that the verdict of the pipe condition couldn't be accurately decided on because they needed to clean the pipe. I told them they had the ok to clean the pipe prior to the appointment. The woman then said that the seller declined and also that the seller was all over the technician when he was there. I called my Realtor and he reminded me that the technician was late, which I can confirm because my Realtor was calling me all morning asking for their number to get an ETA. My Realtor was at the home prior and post the technician's visit with the seller at all times. At no point did the technician during the entire visit mention needing to clean the pipe, nor was there any time for the seller to decline the inspection without my Realtor knowing, like the secretary claims they did. The Plumber gave the verbal ok on the pipe saying that it was in good condition and that he just wanted to watch it back with his boss later to confirm this. The seller did not bother the technician at all as Anton's claims they did because they were preoccupied with home negotiations and questions from my Realtor. Anton's said that I would have to pay them to come out again, clean and video the pipe to get an answer on the condition because the video scoping was so bad due to the pipe needing to be cleaned. It's quite obvious that the plumber showed up late, rushed the job and then took off without completing it correctly to make another appointment at my expense. I was told it would be at least a 3 hour ordeal, however the plumber was there only a little over an hour. I am not past my Agreement of Sale contingency and have been given the option to take or leave the house as my inspection period window has lapsed. I agreed to move forward with the house now despite having a botched job done on my sewer lateral inspection.Desired Settlement: I do not think I should be obligated to pay this bill as they didn't complete the job correctly at all and lied to me about the circumstances involved with it. I'm not risking a broken sewer lateral cost by purchasing this home blindly due to the complete screw up of the job that was supposed to be performed by Anton's Plumbing.

A misunderstanding on my part led to this report being filed in error. The owner of the company is working with me on this issue. Is it possible to remove or cancel this complaint? I'd hate to tarnish this company's name out of mistake.
