Review: On 8/20/14 I purchased a Crape Myrtle tree and also paid $55 for delivery. At the time I paid the cashier, I asked that the tree be brought to the back yard, and the cashier said I should just advise the delivery guys when they come. On 8/21/14 at 8:15am, the delivery came and I asked that the tree be dropped off in the back yard (only about 30 feet from the driveway). The driver (and the helper) said he would have to leave the tree in my driveway, as he does not have a hand truck and they usually just drop off in the front of the house. I advised the driver what I was told when I purchased the tree and he then called his supervisor for direction. I asked to speak to his supervisor ("foreman") who was a very nasty individual. I told him what had happened and that I would be fine if they come back later when they had a hand truck. I could not just leave the tree in my driveway and I would not be able to move it as it was very heavy. The foreman said that I would have to pay another delivery charge ($55) plus $20 for the tree to be taken to the back yard. I told him I did not mind paying another $20, but he was not interested, and was speaking to me in a belligerent manner. He also told me the people who work at the cashier's office are like the kids you see at [redacted] so they do not know the delivery rules. I told him that was not my problem. He refused to give me his name and when asked who is the owner as I would like to speak to him, he said he did not know. The foreman also stated he's not going to do anything to help me I bought the tree on sale. I hung up the phone as I realized I was dealing with a sick individual. I spoke to the driver again and he and the helper dragged the tree with much effort a few more feet, so it is at least inside my fence. Later that day, I called the office for Casola Farms and spoke to [redacted] She was very apologetic and said she would give my message to the right person to call me. Needless to say, no one called.

Review: I purchased several trees from Casola Farms in September of 2013. Since I had Casola plant the trees, for half their original cost, I had a one-year guarantee on my plants. Two of the plants, blue spruce and leyland cypress, have taken a turn for the worse and lose several branches and are not recovering. Casola Farms have only agree to replace the blue spruce (costing $250) and are still requesting me to pay an additional $125 for them to plant this new tree. I did not accept the delivery charge because we picked up the tree ourselves and it is now on our property. Casola was suppose to plant the tree today (July 27, 2013) and I was told they would be at my house at 8:00am, but they never showed up. I had called them SIX and they did not answer their phone, so I drove down there to find out the problem. When I arrived, the owner,[redacted], was very rude saying he didn't have my number and the phone was in a closed office. The phone number I called was their ONLY phone number they advertise. So, [redacted] told me that I have to pay an additional $30 for his workers to drive to my house which is only ONE mile away and we already have the tree at our house. This additional charge of $30 is NOT documented on my receipt, so [redacted] wants me to pay the $30 in cash when they arrive tomorrow or else he said he would refuse to plant my tree. The only item documented on my receipt is the $125 for planting service - NOT this $30 driving fee.Desired Settlement: I would like a $30 refund and I would like an investigation on how they can away with charging people money when they don't officially document their services. I should NOT have to pay this $30 fee which I was never told about at the time I paid for the $125 planting fee.

Review: On Saturday October 5, 2013, I went to Casola Farm to participate in various fall activities with my family as I do every year. It was a warm day so I did wear open toe shoes, but so did all of the adults that I was with. While there, I decided to do the petting zoo and pony rides with my three children. Upon entering the petting zoo, a goat came towards my son. My son backed into me and I backed into the fence. There was a heavy, glass empty mason jar on the fence that fell directly onto my toe. I handed the jar back to the employee working at the petting zoo. I didn't notice right away but when I looked down, my pinky toe was split open. I alerted the employee and told her my sister would trade places with me so that I could walk out of the farm to attend to my foot. She said that a manager would come over to help me. The manager saw my foot and handed over some bandaids and wet paper towels. It was evident that I needed stitches. I went to the ER and received 5 stitches. I called Casola Farm to tell the manager what happened. She said to call back to speak to the owner on Monday and to bring any receipts from the ER visit. When I called to speak to the owner, [redacted], she was extemely rude. She called me [redacted] for wearing open toe shoes to a farm. She admitted that they keep the mason jar on the fence to get rid of excess food. When I stated that the jar could have easily fallen on one of my children, she said "well it didn't". She then went on to insult me even further, called me a liar and said that I could've hurt my foot earlier or perhaps one of my kids stepped on my foot. This was dispite the fact that two employees saw what happened. Meanwhile: 1)There are no signs saying that I couldn't enter the farm with flip flops. 2)Even if I wore sneakers, my foot would have been heavily bruised and still could have opened up3) Having a heavy glass jar on the edge of a fence is an unsafe practice. It could have easily fallen on a child's head.Desired Settlement: I would like the following: 1) a Refund of my ER co-pay ($100) 2) a Refund of the Dr co-pay to remove the stitches ($20) 3) a Refund of the petting zoo and pony rides since my children never got to do either activity since I had to go to the hospital. It is a shame that [redacted] is so rude. I will not be giving her any other business. I will be posting my complaints via Facebook and writing letters to local newspapers.
