The staff at this company has no subconscious. A person who is mentally ill can be considered as being incapacitated, thus he/she might not be able to distinguish between the right and wrong things he/she does. However, the level of disrespect at this gym is unforgivable.
I visited this gym on Wednesday March 18, 2015 and spoke to the Manager (YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE) about signing up for a membership. He sat down with me for approximately 30-45 minutes, just enough time to bait me in sort of speak, and present a "deceivable" prepaid-month-to-month-fully-quote-on-quote-refundable-non-contract in my face, only to find out later it was a crafty scheme to swindle me for the sign up costs.
The next day, Thursday, March 19, I went back to the gym to work out a little, and it was a great day. The problem is, with my out of state tuition cost, it caused a gridlock in my finances and the result of that is a really tight budget. So as of Friday, March 20th, I went back to the gym for a slight work out and to fulfill my appointment with a fitness advisor, I knew it would be my last time working out at this gym, cause I really cannot afford it.
Saturday, March 21st I called and spoke to the front desk rep (YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE AS WELL) and he confirmed with me since I did not officially sign a contract, and that I had a post-dated payment set up for the 25th of March, and that I'm canceling any sign up cost, that he will let the manager become aware of this, he then placed me on hold for 2-3 minutes to get a confirmation of this from the manager, he returned to our phone conversation and said, "YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED" $218.00 for the sign up cost and that we will cancel your membership as of today, I repeated back to him what he had said to me, and he replied that is correct, "YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED" $218.00.
Here's what they did to me, they charged my account for $218.00 on Wednesday March 25, 2015 for the sign up cost. As you can imagine I was "pissed" and still PISSED, because the manager is not holding himself accountable for this transaction, instead this is what he does, he screened the telephone calls, I called the gym from my computer, cause I do not have minutes on my phone, but I have google talk on my computer, anyway, I called the gym and no one answered the phone and it went to voicemail. I called a different location on greenway, and they picked up the phone on the first ring. I said to myself hmm, that's odd.
The rep, told me sometimes no one is at the front desk, or maybe its too busy over there, wait a while and call back, but here's the thing, when I was at the gym for those three days it was someone at the front desk at all times, and at least 2-3 people in their little office, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was telling me the truth, but then I recognized his voice, and his name, and realized that he was the same person that told me that he will let the manager become aware that I was canceling my quote on quote membership, and after placing me on hold for 2-3 minutes to get a confirmation from a supervisor, he returned to our phone conversation and said,"YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED" $218.00 for the sign up cost and that we will cancel your membership as of today.
So back to the original situation, I took his word maybe they are busy. So I waited 45 minutes, then called Litchfield location back and no one answered and it went to voicemail, I waited an hour and called back and it went to voicemail, I knew for a fact it wasn't that busy cause this location doesn't have a daycare center. Well, well, I never said who I was but I explained to him why I did not want to continue a membership at this gym, and he replied that no one gave him these details and that he was unaware of this sort of issue, "HMM" I thought to myself, but I let him continue speaking, so I said to him, "I have school fees due by Friday, March 27, 2015 and I want my money credited back to my account," he says, "well the HR person is not here and will not be here until 2pm on Thursday, March 26th," which is today, he says, "I will call you back tomorrow, I have your name & phone number," then he said my name out loud to me,..I was a little creeped out by this, that this whole time he was screening their calls, cause he knew it was me calling, because I had called that Saturday morning, on March 21st from the same number.
