Unprofessional
August 31st 2023. I paid $175 for my kitchen sink to be unclogged and the plumber had his cell phone playing music on speaker. When I looked to see any progress was made he was just standing in my kitchen not snaking the drain. The plumber asked me for my plunger and when I came back from washing my hands after I gave my plunger to him, he had broken the plunger by this, I mean the handle was ripped off the rubber base. I was told I needed to hydro clean the pipe for $700 and of I paid the $700 the $175 would be deducted from the $700. There was nothing he could do to help.
He didn't do anything except break my plunger and take my money. The tarp I laid down with a towel was dry. The three buckets I provided to catch any water were dry. And he didn't even bring his own plunger. What kind of plumber doesn't bring a tarp, bucket or plunger? But has the nerve to play.music in my house and break my stuff then say I need to pay him more money. The plumber was unprofessional and ill equipped. I am still waiting for my money to be refunded via my bank but Any Moment Plumbing hasn't even responded to the bank inquiry.
I paid roto Rooter $200 and they actually got the job done.

My mother contacted Any Moment Plumbing last year to fix pipes in the basement that had been damaged and caused flooding every time that it rained.
This company initially gave my mother a quote of $3,000 for fixing the sewer pipe, putting in backfill, and replacing the piping and connecting it to the city line. He said my mother had to pay half of this amount for him to start. She paid $1,500 in cash, and then when they started the job and had the ground dug up, they then said that this job would cost $6,000. If my mother did nto pay they threatened to leave with the ground already dug up. Mother could not get that much money, so eventually they agreed on $4,500 , but she still had to come up with another $1,500. This money was paid and then when they continued on this job there was nothing but issues.

They tried to hook their equipment to the house, and we told them that they had to use their own generators as our house lights were flickering.

One day I just happened to be looking out the window and saw them packing up and leaving. I asked them where they were going, and they said they had to go to another job. If I had not looked out the window, I would not have known they were leaving. They didn't even tell us until we asked. They also did not return for two days, even though we had already paid a deposit for a job on our house that they were actively working on.

We asked for an itemized receipt and then they didn't really itemize it. It says that it was for sewer backup, dig up backyard and replace section of sewer pip, clean to city service, backfill and haul away debris. This were not itemized, just included on the original $3,000 receipt. Additionally, this receipt says in the fine print that "I/we agree that work was completed in a satisfactory manner and do not hold Any Moment Plumbing Inc responsible for unforseen damages. Not responsible for landscaping, fencing, concrete, plaster, drywall, cabinets, tile , or electrical line." I asked why would we sign a receipt saying that a job was done satisfactorily if the job was not done. I did not want to sign it, but they also said if we did not, that they would also leave. So I was forced to sign a receipt that I am certain is not legal or enforceable. At this point they still had our ground dug up.

Then as they were finishing, they knocked down two fences in our backyard, moved the concrete slab alongside the garage to the alley and did not return/replace it, and then just threw some dirt down. They never filled in the backfill, the ground is not compact, and the ground is not even. Due to this, no grass was added to facilitate regrowth.

We supposedly have a 5 year warranty on PVC pipes, however, PVC should never need to be replaced. Unfortunately a little bit more than a year later, we still have flooding again in the basement. We tried for 7 straight days to contact this company between me, my brother in Philadelphia, and my sister in California talking to this guy. This was approximately about 3 weeks ago when we last tried to contact him. He kept saying he would send someone out, but no one would come. My brother did manage to talk to him on the third day, and someone was supposed to come out on the 4th day, but did not come out until the 5th day. This plumber tried to run a line, and said he ran into clay, which likely means that they either the pipe was not installed correctly, it is damaged, or it is the wrong size. Instead of accepting what his plumber said, the owner was on the phone saying that he needed to get a second opinion. I am not sure why he needed a second opinion if it is his plumber. Needless to say, 3 more days of saying he would send someone, and no one came.

One the 4th day he hung up on me because he said I gave him attitude and approached him wrong. The only statement that I said when I called was that we have talked to you for 4 days and no one has answered any calls. It was a statement of fact.

After that we gave up on trying to get him to send someone out. He keeps claiming COVID as an excuse, but he keeps doing all of his other suburban properties. Maybe it is because we are older black women, poor, and paid with cash that he thinks he can do this unethical stuff to people.

We have contacted 3 other companies to get quotes, and all of them said that a 6" drop pipe should have been used, when he used a 4 " drop pipe. Though he told us he was using a 6" drop pipe. They also said we should not be seeing clay if the pipe was inserted correctly and was of the right size. They can not believe our yard, fence, and concrete was left in that condition. We got three more quotes to actually fix the job he was supposed to have done. It makes no sense to have a supposed 5 year warranty if you can't even follow up verbal discussions with actions, make up excuses, and then just keep ignoring the customers

If I wasn't the primary and only caregiver with my mother, I would have time to go to court. But since she is bedridden, blind, and has respiratory issues I can not leave her. But we need this repaired and the pipe replaced as we can not have sewage backing up in the house again and it is of utmost urgency.

I went out of town and came home to my basement flooded. I searched local plumbers and came across Any Moment Plumbing Inc., I gave them a call and they showed up within an hour. They were very professional and cleaned up everything before they left. I was very satisfied with the service they provided and would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

On the evening of Thursday November 1, 2018, Mr. Austin ***, owner of Any Moment Plumbing Inc., came to my resident to snake the main drain due to flooding from heavy pouring rain and roots in my main drain. When he and his crew arrived, I explained the problem to him and what other plumbers did to solve it in the past. Austin said the charge would be $235.00. He knew I had roots in my main drain and he did not use the right snake head to deal with the problem initially. The backup got worse while he was there. He knew how to solve the problem and was trying to get more money from me and told me I needed an emergency excavation. I told him no. I was also still working with my wet vacuum to get water up to prevent water damage in my basement.

While the basement was still flooded, Austin stated that he and his crew had been here for a while and that what they were doing is not working and that to continue they want additional money. I told him that I would give him 100.00 for his time, but not the 235.00 since the job was not complete at that time. I told him that he has to show me that I benefitted from him working and that I'm not paying for a job that is not complete.
Austin stated ok and went back to work. After he used the right snakehead, the drainage went down. After the job, we disputed about the payment. He wanted 380.00 and I told him he was getting 235.00. In the 380.00 payment, he wanted me to pay for a snake head that he damaged. We went back and forth. He yelled, cursed at me in my home and demanded the payment. I told him 235.00 as agreed. He then said ok and I gave him my card for payment and he took 380.00 instead of 235.00. Austin gave me no receipt and did not make out any contract for the job. He just left. I then filed a complaint with my bank and I also plan to file a police report.

Unprofessional scam artists. I have called Any Moment for two separate issues. First I asked them to tap into my water line, and the guy quoted me $3000. When I said I wasn't interested he went down to $1700, and when he was leaving he mentioned for being able to do it for less than $1000. So the original price was clearly an attempt to rip me off. Second time I called them was for a hot water heater and they said the tech would be able to repair it that night. The tech arrived (same guy!) and only seemed interested in replacing the entire water heater for $1000 as opposed to the one broken part. Tech agreed to replace the one part in the morning but in the morning he no call/no showed. Got in touch with him later and he said he forgot. Any Moment plumbing made no effort to assist with the issues. The Any Moment rep I spoke to on the phone was rude and did not seem interested in helping fix my water heater. Terrible company, terrible business model.

Called Any Moment Plumbing to unclog one set of washtubs in the basement. Two set of tubs were available, one set did not have an issue one set was clogged. The plumber came out to as the problem and determined all the pipes had to be replaced from the house to the main sewer. They also determined that the main stack had to be replaced. We still cannot figure out why when one side ran perfectly fine. The floor in the upstairs bathroom was torn up, the ceiling in a bedroom was destroyed, the wall in the downstairs bathroom was destroyed, the basement floor was torn up and the backyard was dug up. They determined they needed new fixtures for the sink in the kitchen and bathroom and a new toilet was needed because the existing fixtures did not fit the new pipes they put in. The existing fixtures were only 4 years old. They have been working on the house for 3 weeks and still not completed the job. The bathtub in the upstairs bathroom is 6 inches from the wall prohibiting the resident from using the toilet - he needs assistance with a walker to get to the toilet and cannot at this time. The plumbers removed the wash tub in the basement that was clogged and downsized them to one wash tub - if that was all that needed to be done why did they do all the other stuff? None of the enhancements were discussed with the homeowner and they did not agree to the removal of the one wash tub. During their repairs, they cut an electrical line. As a result, the upstairs furnace and two basement dryers are not working. They offered to provide the homeowner with an estimate for fixing the issue that they caused. The workers were overheard saying they cut something in error and they would patch it. To date this job has cost the homeowner $47,500.00. The homeowner is 86 years old. The other resident of the home is 79. Not only have they taken advantage of the elderly, they do not show up when they say they will and they did not clean up their mess. A neighbor has been cleaning up their mess.
