To whom it may concern,     We at Anybody Towing have the highest satisfactions ratings of any tow company in Pulaski County Missouri. We take every complaint or issue seriously and try to resolve that issue. We however a 'for profit' business and must charge and collect for jobs that...

we are asked to do. I personally would like to work for free, especially when a misfortune is involved, but this is not possible as we have bills to pay. We at Anybody Towing try to make arrangements with every customer that may not be able to pay the full amount, but will still need to get paid somehow for our time and expenses.     In the matter at hand, there is some points that need to be made...        1) We are not the owners of the 2006 Ford Mustang that was involved in the accident.    2) We were not the owners of the Mustang that did not have full coverage insurance or even roadside assistance on the vehicle. Note: Roadside Assistance usually cost $1 to $1.50 per month and would have paid the initial tow bill on this accident. The owners took a risk by not keeping full coverage or even roadside assistance on the vehicle. Anybody Towing should not be held financially responsible for that risk we had no control of.     3) We were not the driver of said vehicle that was speeding in the rain, on bald tires and lost control of said vehicle, resulting in the vehicle to crash down a ravine, approx 125' from the roadway.     4) We were the towing company that was requested by the driver of said vehicle to remove the vehicle from ravine. This request was NOT done by the Highway Patrol.     5) Once we were notified by the owners of the vehicle did not have full coverage or even roadside assistance, we did offer that if the owner would bring us the title in a timely matter for the vehicle and we incurred no other expenses for the vehicle, we would trade the tow bill for the title of the vehicle. We were told that on the next day, someone would be there with a clean/clear title and would give it to us and clean the vehicle out of personal belongings. The following things have/have not happened:    1) The owners or representative did come and clean out personal items the next day, even though they are, as they stated in the letter to the Revdex.com, that they were "3 hours" away from our location. This owner/representative did not bring the title with them. At this time the agreement was broken by the owner of the vehicle.     2) The owners did not provide a title to the vehicle till approx 15-20 days after the accident. Note:The vehicle/title still shows an active lien.             A) The title was only provided after a letter was sent out notifying them of the towed and stored vehicle as required by state law.         B) Since title provided to us did not include a lien release nor did it include a Bill of Sale, both of which are required by the state, we can still not title the vehicle in our name.  Note: The owners still as of today, still have not provided that required paperwork.     3) Since the agreement was broken by not providing the title, lien release and bill of sale and we were still actively storing the vehicle, we were still incurring daily expenses on the vehicle. We charge $50 per day storage for any towed/stored vehicle. This charge as been the same since we opened almost 8 years ago. Since the owner stated they had issues getting us the title, we offered to them that if they paid our actual expenses of storing the vehicle of approx $33 per day, we would settle for that amount. The vehicle owner refused, quite rudely stating that they would not pay for anything...     We at Anybody Towing did, in a reminder letter a few weeks ago offer once again that if the owners would provide the lien release, bill of sale and 30 days worth of actual expenses of storage, we would consider this matter settled. The only response we have received to this offer, was the letter from the Revdex.com.     In closing, I feel that we have went above and beyond our duties to provide a solution to this problem. We have paid 30 days of storage, or $990 to store their wrecked vehicle. This not include our time and expense recovering the vehicle or doing the required paperwork on the vehicle. In our opinion, the vehicle is not worth anymore than scrap value or approx $250, after we drain the fluids, pull the gas tank and haul the vehicle 30 miles to the nearest recycling yard. As we stated in the last letter to them, if they think the vehicle is worth more than what was owed which is the $990 (again our actual cost) in storage, $350 to recover the vehicle from the ravine and $100 to protect the vehicle from further damage, they are more than welcome to come pay the bill and pickup the car. Signed, [redacted], Owner Anybody TowingAnybody Towing
