Anytime Appliance Repair Service Reviews (1)
Review: I hired this company, Anytime Appliance, to investigate a fault with a new [redacted] dishwasher (less than two years old) at one of my rental properties. After the first visit, the engineer called to inform me there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher; that it worked perfectly fine. So, $120+ later...my tenant ran the machine later on the same day and experienced the same issue; the dishwasher did not drain. She called the company and they decided to order a new control panel. When I spoke with Anytime to confirm the work order, I was told this is the appropriate part to replace to fix the issue and it would take roughly 30 minutes ($70) to install the new control panel (which was under warranty). I instructed Anytime to proceed with this job. On the day of the appointment, my tenant informed me that the engineer attempted to fix the dishwasher and after replacing the control panel, he found there was a problem with the pump and it took nearly 3 hours to diagnose and fix it. At no time during this process did the engineer or the company call me to inform me of this discovery or change in the original job order (which was the only work I had approved). They want me to pay the full amount of labor and part charges and I have tried to negotiate, even suggested paying them more than the original agreed amount. Basically, I should owe $70-80 for the original work order, but they have billed over $300. At one point during the negotiations with the owner, I offered to meet somewhere in between - even as much as $200 but the owner's communications were so incredibly rude and insulting that I now refuse to pay a penny more than I agreed to when the original job was booked. The level of profesionalism of the owner of this company is deplorable. On the other hand, the engineer who attempted to explain the situation was polite and professional in his follow-up phone calls on the matter. He realized he made a mistake by not calling me during the job/appointment and was understanding of my position.Desired Settlement: I refuse to deal further with this company or its owner directly. His communications with me were/are completely unprofessional. His engineer made the mistake on the job (which he admits) and the owner wants me to pay for it. I will pay the amount estimated for the original work order and not a penny more unless the Revdex.com can see good reason for it.
It may concern: the customer's tenant called our office to schedule an appointment for a dishwasher which was not draining. Upon arrival my technician found everything to be in working order. (it is very difficult to determine intermittent problems if the issue is not occurring at time of service) the tenant did call back later that day and explain the problem happened again. Based on that scenario typically the control board is the intermittent cause of those problems. Also on the customer's behalf the control board is covered under warranty although the labor is not covered and would've taking 30 minutes to install for a cost of $70, therefore it was the most cost-effective assumption based on the problem.
