Anytime Fitness Columbus - GD Fitness, LLC Reviews (8)

I am rejecting this response because:My membership with Anytime Fitness grants me access 24/to ALL Anytime Fitness locations, not just the specific gym location where I purchased my membership The gym at issue keeps saying that I "violated their guest policy" but has yet to provide anything to specifically identify or even explain what specific policy provision I personally violated or what this "policy" is/was It certainly was not posted anywhere in their facility I came to the facility using my own key fob to enter, spoke to no one, interacted with no one, and left Not sure how that "violated" anything It didn't! Because I came back the next day because I had a complaint about something I witnessed with another member was NO violation of anything It was nothing more than retaliatory

I, the owner of the club, responded to the complainant as quoted below."I reviewed the incident with our manager and fully support her decision to lock you and your boyfriend out of the clubI take the safety of our members and employees very seriouslyThere was a violation of our guest policy and we have the right to lock out members who don't follow our policies. If you have any further questions, I encourage you to contact your home club."She is not a member of our club and since all Anytime Fitness clubs are independently operated; she needs to discuss issues with her membership with her home clubI stand by our decision to deny access to our clubMike GehrtOwner Anytime Fitness

Hi,We reserve the right to lock out any member, regardless of what gym they belong to, if they violated our policy. Our policy is that you cannot let a non member into the club We have video footage of this member and another member allowing a third person into the club.We are vigilant about the safety and security of our members We need to know who is in the gym at all times. If this third individual had caused any issues, we would have had no idea who he wasThanks,Mike ***

I am rejecting this response because: Yes , I signed a contractYes, I should have read the very small print on itThat was my mistakeHowever, my complaints are about the lies being told to people to get them to sign the contract in the first placeAnd the reaction of the manager who is "just running" a business, but didn't bother to look up my account during our hour + conversation to try and fix this problemI had texted the other manager about coming in to cancel when I got my lease signed and also provided her with new debit card information to which she was only going to charge for my accountThat's when I told her that my boyfriend was also on my accountI didn't leave anything outIt was a couples membershipThe amount he said over the phone is the amount I should have to payMy fault for not reading the contractBut then we could argue that it's his fault for not looking up the account info during an hour and a half conversationI'm going to pay what I owe (and not a penny morethis month and next month) but this is very bad businessUninformed or untrained employees and management that doesn't take the time to look at an account while helping someone over the phone and then goes back on his word for his own mistakeNot coolStill very unsatisfied

From: *** *** *** Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 5:PMTo: ***
*** ***To whom it may concern,*** *** signed a contract that stated that that if she moved less then miles from the nearest Anytime Fitness, she
would be required to fulfill the terms of the agreement.By her own admission, she has moved only miles away from the nearest Anytime Fitness.Since there was some dispute over what she was told, when she signed up, we have agreed to give her a 70% reduction to buy out her contract The buy out total for her and her boyfriend is roughly $1000.00.The 70% discount would bring that charge down to $300.00.When I spoke with her on the phone, she did not tell me that her boyfriend also had an account with us Once I discovered that new information, I called her back and told her that her boyfriend would also need to pay $150.00Again, the total for both of them would be $300.00.We find this to be reasonable settlement offer to Ms***Thanks,Mike G.Anytime Fitness
