Membership Transfer/Cancellation Issues.
I have tried for the past year and a half to at first cancel my membership and then, once I realized that wasn't going to happen, transfer the membership to another Anytime Fitness gym that would cancel it.
I've been working at this for so long that I've talked to two different managers who worked there at different times.
Both have withheld information for me to get out of the membership, and it wasn't until I talked to the manager at the other gym that I got some information on how to transfer and cancel it.
I haven't even used that location since 2018, and am disgusted that they have been giving the the run around and not all of the information needed to get out of the membership.
I had a membership at *** Fitness before and they only charged me $50 to cancel it, but at Anytime Fitness in Borger, you basically have to die for them to cancel it.
I'd advise anyone to never sign a contract with this location.
Also, when I was first told about the membership, I was told I could cancel it but had to pay a fee, now of course that's not the case.

Desired Outcome

I know I won't get the refund for the past year that I deserve, but if anything I just want them to cancel the membership already.

Member is under contract until January 2021. Member first contacted the gym on January 7th, 2020 about cancelling her contract. She did not meet the requirements needed in order to cancel so she asked about transferring to another gym. She was told that in order to transfer, she would need to be checked in to that gym at least 4 times. The process takes about 60 days and then that gym will be able to transfer her. At this time it is unclear as to who is at fault but we are trying everything we can to work with her to get the issue resolved on our end.

The first time I contacted the new manager at this location was on January 7, 2020.
The first time I contacted the first manager at this location was in the fall of 2019.
They switched managers in between the fall of 2019 and now.
The owner can just cancel the contract but chooses not to because I cannot show tangible proof as of right now.
I've been trying to figure out how else to get out of the contract since the spring of 2019 and no one has helped me out until I got in touch with another Anytime Fitness location.

This location told me I no longer had a membership and signed me up for a new one. Now I'm being charged for 2 memberships.
In March of 2019 I went to workout at the Borger anytime fitness location. My key fob wasn't working. I spoke with the rep who runs the Borger gym and she informed me that I no longer has a membership with anytime fitness in Amarillo. She then set me up with a new 1 year contract. The next month I noticed that I was being charged twice from anytime fitness. After some investigating it turns out the I still had an active membership at an anytime fitness in Amarillo. When I spoke to the rep at the Borger location she told me that she could cancel the membership at the Amarillo branch and that she would be unable to refund the membership dues her location collected. It's now August and I'm still being charged by both locations. I don't see how in good conscience this gym would double charge me for a gym membership.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for the fees charged to me by the Borger location and cancellation of the contract signed at the Borger gym. The Borger gym should not have signed me up for another membership when I already had one. When I spoke with the rep at the Borger gym she told me I needed to cancel my Amarillo membership. The Amarillo membership I've had for over a year the monthly fee is less and it's a month to month plan so I can cancel anytime. So the membership I want to keep is the one that's less money and isn't tying me into a one year contract.
