We installed a complete HVAC system with duct work and zone system for Mr. [redacted] on 11/16/2015 . Approximately 2 weeks after the system was installed Mr [redacted] called and talked to me and said that the furnace would sometimes cycle off and not start back up after a period of time. I scheduled a...

service call and evaluated the system it was running with no fault codes on the control board indicating the furnace had failed at anytime since the install. Over a period of the next 2 weeks Mr. [redacted] would call and say it had failed and he would cut the power off to the system and then it would restart and run fine for a day or 2 and then do the same thing again. I never seen the system fail but at Mr [redacted]s insistence I had a York technical Representative [redacted] Baldinnie  come to his home and evaluate the system from top to bottom. [redacted] and I spent a couple hours with the system and checked everything we could think of that could be causing this intermittent failure Mr. [redacted] insisted was happening. Again the system never failed and no codes where in the board,. [redacted] suggested that maybe the vent was failing due to high winds on the south side of the house and recommended we raise our vent and put a ninety degree fitting on it so we did. That was approximately 12-15 2015 That was the last time Mr. [redacted] called for service. Over a year later On 12/21/2016 Mr. [redacted] called and complained of the same issue intermittent failure of the system I dispatched my technician to a service call again no issues and no codes in the board. At this point I am convinced the problem is operator error. I advised Mr. [redacted] his labor warranty has expired on his equipment and he would have to pay for future service. He was irate about that and would not agree to payment so we have not been back.  I have literately thousands of satisfied customers unfortunately Mr. [redacted] is not one of them. He has even threatened to sue me over his situation. The company is committed to fulfilling the remaining parts warranty for Mr. [redacted] however the 1 year labor warranty is expired. Thank you,[redacted]
