AP Motors Reviews (%countItem)

I bought a car from Ap motors on 14 of August,
The following day the car start some weird noise from the engine. I called Ap motor
He asked me to show a technician and let him know what the issue was, so I had to tow the car from jodan (as I was on my way to Minneapolis) to North Mankato, my technician made known that the car as an engine problem so I called ap motors and told them what was going on, he then asked me to have the car towed to his office that he will fix but I will have to pay $ 300 or 400.
On the 18 I got back the car and my portion. The sane night the car started showing some oil light the dashboard. I tried to contact Ap motors that same night to tell him about the light but he wasn’t picking up my call.
The following day I took the car to my technician and he told me to get the car back. Since then have been trying to reach Ap motors but he never pick my calls Nor called back.

AP Motors Response • Sep 12, 2018

Revdex.com received call from owner Almir, providing business response to complaint.

Almir states that Mr *** came to AP Motors looking for an inexpensive used car. Looked at a couple of different options, but ultimately chose the Volkswagen. Says this was about a $7,000 car, but he sold it to Mr *** for about $4,000, knowing the oil light was on. States that Mr *** was well aware that the oil light was on, and signed "as is" / "no warranty" disclosures at the time of purchase, in accordance with MN Used Car Warranty law.

He says when Mr *** first contacted him about vehicle issues, Almir decided to try to work with Mr *** on repairs on a goodwill basis, though not obligated to do so on an "as is" purchase. He helped Mr *** locate a used engine block in TX for approximately $400, explaining that the customer would need to cover the cost of the part, but AP Motors would pay for labor.

Almir indicates that Mr *** had the replacement engine block installed and left with the vehicle seemingly functioning normally.

He says he is sorry to hear that Mr *** is unhappy with his purchase, but feels AP Motors made a good-faith effort to work with Mr *** on repairs though not legally obligated to do so (on an "as is" purchase), and cannot assist further in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:
The business claims to have repaired the car but I haven’t driven it for 30miles before the same problem they claim to have fixed reoccurred. It was after this fact that I took the car to Volkswagen Mankato, and they informed me that whoever sold me the car in the first place knew for a fact that the whole engine had to be changed. They estimated repair to the vehicle at 9500$ and suggested that I contact Revdex.com. At the time of purchase, I explicitly asked him why the oil signal was on and he said it was the sensor and I had nothing to worry about. I have 4 witnesses with whom I made the purchase to corroborate my story if need be. Thanks.
