APC Plumbing Reviews (22)

Was SHOCKED to find out the rude and less than customer-oriented person on the other end, [redacted] claimed to be the "owner" Originally, the tech completed things timely; however, as I work midnights and the only reasonable for me was am, I had fallen asleep and didn't "check" his work He put a dark, bronze with gold trim handle on the half-bath toilet where ALL of the finishes were silver Also, didn't call in the 4th toilet for repair approval because the home warranty company wait times "are too long" so he was going to call it in at the end of the day - reasonable enough While I wanted the sooner, weeks out was the first time their schedule was available with mine Called today to find out status and the person taking the calls, AKA the "OWNER" said they don't have approval because the "tech doesn't have all that time to wait for someone to answer the phone for approval" and no one else can call it in Now, this is days AFTER the initial repair The "OWNER" did tell me I could call them and have them call her So happy I went through the home warranty company & didn't hire them myself VERY RUDE & LACKING GREATLY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY PLUMBING NEEDS AS THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO COMPLETE THE WORK !WITHIN THE TIME THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLETING IT Also, VERY poor communication with customer

All I can say is don't use this company The details of my experience with them are quite lengthy, and my problem was never solved

THIS COMPANY SUCKS! Tonya said Jacob would be at house to fix total blockage (no plumbing fixtures work) It is now the next day and I am still waiting AMERICAN HOME SHIELD referred them to me - nightmare - total nightmare

I just wanted to put the warning outThe plumbing company Athena's Plumbing Coor APC was sent to our home on Friday by our home warranty companyWe had an AWFUL experience with them.DO NOT let this company into your homeThis business has terrible reviews and I wish we had look up the reviews before we allowed him to come inWe trusted that our home warranty would send in a company with good reviews but they did not
The plumber (and I am pretty sure owner) was two hours late and once he got here he was in such a hurryWe showed in the water mark in our ceiling and he suggested replacing a part around our toiletDid a terrible job recaulking our toiletThen he cut a hole in our ceiling, found where the water was dripping through the floor, and immediately told us it was a crack in our bathtub and the whole thing needed to be replace and would cost us over $When a fiber glass tub has a leak it can be patched and it doesn't have to be replaced so he was trying to get some money out of usWe had to pay him $for basically nothingHe lied, tried to rip us off, and stole our sheet rock piece that he had cut out of our ceilingMy brother in law (who had to drive over hours) was able to locate the real leak in less than minutes and we spent about $on materialsThe most expensive material being the sheet rock that the plumber stole I would hate for any of you to get screwed over by this company!

APC Plumbing/Paul S*** has serviced my home twice - once for a
complete makeover of our kitchen and once to change out our water heater Both experiences we found to be very good

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They also use the name APC PLUMBING. I just got hung up on by "[redacted]" who, coincidentally has the same name as the owner but claims the owner is "not involved" and I "cannot contact the owner". Their card says it's a "Family Business". Please DO NOT do business with this company. They just take your money and then ignore your calls. I have waited for 3 days with them KNOWING we're having a problem with our hot water. [redacted] came out and spent 10 minutes looking at the heater, said everything was fine and charged us $75.00. He and "[redacted]" have ignored our calls since then. Very fraudulent.

VERY RUDE & LACKING GREATLY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. Exactly as stated the company "tightened the bolt" that was the cause of the cracking of the toilet. The epoxy that the company speaks of is on the front of the tank and was there when we moved in. The crack that has been caused by the over tightening of the bolt in on the rear of the tank, so i'm not even sure what they have to do with each other. I'm not home right now so I can not get pictures, but can submit them later. Furthermore if the epoxy that was used to fix the tank as stated was there before your technician ever arrived and was going to be the reason of "not normal wear and tear" he should have never have touched the toilet in the first place is what the owners of the company's husband finally admitted to us on the phone. He said "the tech. should have never even touched the toilet if he noticed the epoxy." Yet he did tighten the bolt rendering him liable. So for the company to say the epoxy was the cause for them to not full fill their warranty is quiet absurd.
As for me become irritated on the phone is because I spent over 8 hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue and find out why APC wouldn't warranty their repair.  Also as I stated in the first comments i'm not the first person this company has done this to. A simple [redacted] search will yield this has happened in the same exact fashion to at least two of clients recently.

We have used APC Plumbing for ourselves and for several clients. The results are always the same - superb, prompt service at a fair price.

All I can say is don't use this company. The details of my experience with them are quite lengthy, and my problem was never solved.

[redacted] from APC Athena Plumbing came out to my house to take care of my broken water heater. First thing he did was let all remaining water out without connecting a hose or placing a bucket to capture the water. He than ask for a bucket and a hose after he had gone back to his van. WE already than had placed a bucket. We gave him an hose to connect to the water heater. He caused more damaged to my home. A restoration company had come out and started drying out the dry wall and removed the damaged dry wall. the water [redacted] let out went back out in my garage and into my home. Damaging more wood and causing a delay on the drying of the dry wall. He also questioned by in great detail on why had a company come out to start the restoration. He said he would called one of his companies to take care of it. He left my house and did not call in the order to my home warranty until 3.5 hours later. He told them he had to do all this extra work of almost 500 to install a new water heater. We had a new company come out. Evaluated what happen, asked if it was drained. Still connected a hose to make sure before anything. new one was installed and no modification was done. APC Athena Plumbing is not a good company. They want to cheat home owners and are spiteful. [redacted] caused more damaged to my home and did not care he cost me more money. Before and after pictures were taken and fully documented by us and the restoration company. Insurance company will also be provided with this for this course of action against APC Athena Plumbing

The contractor came to service a home warranty request. When he arrived he left his van running, came in, took a quick look and said he couldn't fix it. At that point he wanted his $75.00. I had a leak in the air gap on a faucet. He quoted the warranty company $458.00 to fix it. I called another plumber who guided me on cleaning a hose for free. Problem solved. This company is a scam. Do not use them. Save your money.

All I can say is don't use this company. The details of my experience with them are quite lengthy, and my problem was never solved.

Then he cut a hole in our ceiling, found where the water was dripping through the floor, and immediately told us it was a crack in our bathtub and the whole thing needed to be replace and would cost us over $2500. When a fiber glass tub has a leak it can be patched and it doesn't have to be replaced so he was trying to get some money out of us. We had to pay him $100 for basically nothing. He lied, tried to rip us off, and stole our sheet rock piece that he had cut out of our ceiling. My brother in law (who had to drive over 2 hours) was able to locate the real leak in less than 15 minutes and we spent about $40 on materials. The most expensive material being the sheet rock that the plumber stole. I would hate for any of you to get screwed over by this company!

In regards to complaint #[redacted], APC Plumbing was dispatched out to this property through the home owners home warranty, [redacted]. We set up an appointment to go out to diagnose and issue with a leaking toilet. The technician tightened the bolts of the toilet on the initial service...

appointment, where he had also taken pictures of where the toilet tank had tried to be glues back together by the homeowner, unfortunately this is not listed under normal wear and tear through the customers signed home warranty policy and was denied through [redacted]. When the homeowner called APC back and tried blaming the denial on the technician we tried to explain to him that we have policies and procedures to follow through the home warranty company and must report everything diagnosed on site with pictures documented. At that point he asked to talk to upper management and when he was able to do so he kept becoming very irate, irritated and hostile towards our staff. Unfortunately with the hostile environment the home owner continued to put our company in we were no longer able to try and resolve this issue.

In regards to this complaint we, APC Plumbing, sincerely apologize to the home owner for all the frustration. Unfortunately due to the policies and procedures through the customers signed home warranty contract we have to call in and document anything and everything we come across on all work orders. Upon arrival at this property the toilet already had visible damage, per the home warranties procedure the technician had to call into them with pictures and details of what the issue was. Once called in, the home warranty informed us that they did NOT cover for a toilet replacement. The homeowner did not agree with this and became very, very upset, we explained to him that these are the procedure APC must follow through the home warranty. When APC reached back out to the  homeowner we had offered to have a technician go out with no cost to bring and install a new toilet, unfortunately as home owner became very combative and began cursing and threatening our staff  APC no longer deemed it necessary to further the offer of the toilet replacement. Once we revoked the offer of the new toilet at no cost to the home owner again got very vulgar and irate towards our company. At this point the homeowner attempted to manipulate the scenario and lie about what had occurred for this particular issue, even though the homeowner was fully at fault. Once the homeowner "didn't get their way" he began threatening our company at that point APC would no longer be able to deal with the irrational customer for the safety of our staff and company.Thank You,APC Plumbing
