Review: I purchased a coat ($518) at the store on Dec. [redacted] 2015. After the purchase, I was talking to my friends with the coat in my bag. The salesperson asked me whether I need the receipt, but I seriously didn't hear it as I was talking to my friend. He thought that I did not need it, so he didn't give me.

After several try-ons, the coat is too large for me. I therefore went to the store for refund on Dec. [redacted] 2015. They asked me to show the original receipt, but I didn't have one. Therefore, they refused to refund.

At the store, I asked them the purpose for the receipt. They told me it is to prove that I purchased this item at their store but nowhere else. I then provided them with my bank statement, which has their store name on it. I also provided them with my debit card. However, they refused to accept these as proofs. I then asked their manager to talk to the salesperson who proceeded my purchase, yet the manager told me that I was demanding too much from them.

At this point, as a customer, I feel violated. I called my bank, who told me that the store definitely has a copy of sale receipt, and my bank statement is sufficient enough to prove that I bought my coat at that store.

On December [redacted], the manager told me that they could not do refund for me. However, I could do exchange within 7 days of my purchase. Since I was in a hurry, I asked the manager whether I could come to the store tomorrow ([redacted]) to talk to her, she said yes.

On December [redacted], I went to the store to look for the manager. However, she was not in the store (which means that I could not do exchange without her). I talked to the assistant manager, who told me that the manager would call me in a few hours. I waited for the manager's call till midnight, nothing came.

On December [redacted] (the last day of my 7-day purchase), I planned to go to their store for final resolution. Before I did so, I finally received the call from the store. However, it was from a salesperson, not the manager. He told me that since today is the last day of my 7-day purchase, the store could not do anything but ship the coat back to me. I demanded to talk to their manager, he told me that the manager was not here.

Again, I feel violated. Firstly, the receipt is for proof of payment. Since I have provided sufficient evidence that the coat was bought at their store, they even have the record, why could they do refund for me? Secondly, even if they cannot do refund for me, they accept to do exchange. However, starting from the day when they accepted to exchange for me, they were always pulling back and refusing to resolve the issue until the last day. They just want to drag the whole issue till the expiration date, then ship the item back to me.

Now, with an oversized coat, I felt my money was wasted. To me, they just want to sell things for profit without valuing customers' feelings. I cannot believe this is what a high-end retailer store does. that is a popular coat, I am sure others with suitable size will buy it. I wasted the money, the coat is also wasted. What's the point? On top of everything, I, as a customer, was completely violated and humiliated.Desired Settlement: I have my bank statements and debit card. The bank statement has their store name and a reference number that corresponds to the reference number at the machine in their store. Therefore, there is sufficient evidence that I purchased the coat at their store. Moreover, I have apologized to them hundreds of times for not having the receipt, they still didn't want to resolve the issue for me. According to them, the receipt is for proof of payment. I can now prove that I bought the coat at their store, why can't they proceed refund for me? Again, it's not about money, it's about customer value.
