To Whom It May Concern:

My name is *** and I am a resident of ***, . On Wednesday ***. a concrete finisher and owner of *** at ***. in ***, *** came by my home to construct my patio. Even though my appointment was at 3pm, *** did not begin the project until well after 4pm due to the cement truck arriving over an hour late. When the truck arrived, *** instructed the driver to drive up close to my front yard fence to begin the project.

Before starting, *** asked me if I had some wood he could use to put down on the ground to prevent the ground from being torn up by transporting cement. I told him yes, but he decided not to use it after all. I then asked him if it was his intent to spread some wood or a tarp over the ground prior to transporting the cement with a *** concrete buggy. He said, 'Naw. Imma put some (grass) sod down after we done pouring ya? concrete.?

Once he finished pouring the concrete, my yard was completely torn up from the many trips he made back in forth using the concrete buggy. There was also concrete splatter all over the aluminum siding of my home and cigarette butts in my yard as well. My home cameras captured every moment of his work. I also captured footage of his work with my cell phone. As he and the other guy left, *** told me that he would be back on the next day to removed the 2x4 forms. He went on to say that I shouldn't worry about the yard and concrete spillage. He told me that he would come back on the following day to install sod in the areas of my yard that was destroyed.

The next day I called *** at 2:47 pm to inquire whether or not he had still planned to come by. He said, 'Naw. We need to let the concrete dry out a little more before we remove the forms.? On Friday at 2:59 pm *** left a message on my phone stating that he and his help would be at my home Saturday morning to remove the forms, gather up his tools, install the grass/sod and clean up the spillage he left behind as well as covering a gigantic hole he took responsibility for on behalf of the cement truck making in the front yard as well as wasted concrete in the street in front of my home.

On Saturday when *** showed up he did not install the grass or clean up anything he messed up. He only collected his tools and left. So later that day, I called him to inquire calmly why he didn't clean up what he messed up and why he didn't replace the grass as he said he would do; this was especially since I spoke with him in person and again over the phone and also in one of his voice messages he left stating that he would.

During our phone conversation *** became highly agitated with me. He suggested I clean my own yard up until he could make time to come through one day the following week to clean up his mess. He also felt the need to tell me that my ground was wet when he did the job and that he really wished he hadn't done the job after all. I truly believe *** was trying to provoke me with anger so that he would be justified in defaulting on his promise. I'm glad I followed my inner instincts by recording every conversation he and I had via phone to prove what I am alleging is absolutely true.

*** volunteered to tell me he was associate pastor of a church here in ***. So I would hope he would not deny anything I am alleging. But if he does, I have no problem disclosing the conversations and text messages to justify my complaint. A day prior to the job, *** sent one of his employees out to assess whether or not my yard was dry enough to proceed with doing the work on the following day. As a result of his own observation, they started the very next day.

I paid *** $*** dollars of my hard earned money to do a job he did not completely finish. The next day after the job, I told him that the concrete looked nice. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I even supplied beer for him and his help as a kind gesture of my appreciation on the day they laid the concrete. I even had a neighbor of mine to come by to see the work they were doing. She expressed her interest in him doing her patio as well, but once she saw how they left my yard, she was totally displeased and disinterested.

The bigger and more obvious picture regarding this matter is that ***. does not keep his word with his clients. Instead, he makes excuses, complains about jobs he agreed to do after he has been paid in full. No one twisted his arm into doing my patio. Next to being volatile and temperamental, he is also a notorious liar and talks very disrespectful to his clients! I will never recommend ***'s A.P.C. concrete service to anyone!

P.S. My home cameras captured every moment of his work too!

Seriously

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment Because I no longer want *** on my property; I am requesting a $*** refund for damages and incomplete work rendered.
