This complaint is full of misleading and inaccurate factsThe account was not settled because the patient provided two separate *** cards to process, the one card declined $Subsequent the patient has tried to have us process the second declining *** card twiceAnd does not respond when
we have tried to call her.The following are the callbacks our collector did with no response from the patient:1/12/Call no answer1/16/Call no answer1/18/Call no answer1/25/Call no answer1/26/Letter sent to the patient because we could not reach her by phone2/1/ Patient left after hours voicemail for a call backOur representative tried calling her again with no response, our office hours are 8am to 9pm, so this message was left at a time when businesses are typically closed for the day.Today 2/20, the patient called in and accused our employee of switching the cards: asking to process the wrong amount on the declining cardAPEX did not switch the cardThe team lead asked the patient for the *** card info so she could submit it againThe patient advised our team lead just this morning that the card is declining because she does no longer works for the company that issued the *** card The patient never provided this information on the prior times we processed the card and received a decline.Patient advised the team lead, that she is going to go on APEX’s web pay site and pay the remaining balance today The site is www.APEX.statementmanagement.comPlease clear our record as this response clearly outlines that APEX has done nothing wrong and has made every attempt to satisfy the patient.Thank you, John *K***

Revdex.com:We find the complaint filed by *** *** to be without merit. *** *** admits having outstanding and delinquent debts with our client. There was in fact no formal agreement between *** *** and her creditor and at a certain time frame her creditor placed the bills
with APEX for collection. We provide a day window in which to pay the outstanding bills in full prior to any reporting of the debts to a credit reporting agency. *** *** failed to satisfy her obligations during that time frame and in fact has no even made a single payment. The accounts are still outstanding and although we will honor *** ***'s request to cease communications, this only goes to show why *** *** has been placed with our office. We have mailed all copies of itemized statements to *** *** as per her request. Additionally, we have sent notification of *** ***'s dispute to the credit repositories. Review: I have never received any notices in the mail from any collection agency or vendor requesting payment of $85.00. When I refinanced my home recently, I was presented with a copy of all outstanding liabilities. On the document provided by my financial institution was a line item from Apex Asset Management that showed a delinquent balance unknown to me. This delinquency put my credit score just below my normal [redacted] range (I'm now at [redacted]), and, as such, my bank is charging me a higher rate over a 30 year period (.25%). I'm furious that I was not contacted in writing by anyone that believes that I owe a balance to. In addition, I'm furious that I will now pay quite a few thousand dollars extra over the next 30 years. I'm considering contacting a lawyer for fiscal damages. Please note that I am hard of hearing and do not use the telephone since such situations are very difficult for me, so please respond via email. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Desired Settlement: I'd like the item removed permanently from my credit report. I'd also like an explanation of the charge. I'd like monetary reimbursement for the long term interest that I will now be paying for the increased rate on my mortgage (all previous mortgage rates and re-finance rates were always at the lowest rate due to my having great credit - financial records can be produced for proof).

Review: THIS IS THE COLLECTION AGENCY FOR MY DOCTORS OFFICE. THE DOCTORS OFFICE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT AND I PAID THE BALANCE DIRECTLY TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE. THE COLLECTION AGENCY SAID I CAN NOT GET THE DISCOUNT. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE DOCTORS OFFICE GIVING ME THE DISCOUNTDesired Settlement: TO CLEAR MY BALANCE AND FIX ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY CREDIT REPORT.

Dear Revdex.com:

I will verify with my client (The Doctors office) immediately whether they had given a discount to [redacted], if they did give a discount to her and the account should be paid in full then I will remove her account from collections immediately.

Review: I used to have a collection in 2009 and I have paid fully all the money back in 2009 and one of your representative promised me that the collection file will be sent for deletion immediately.

It seems the file hasn't been deleted and still appearing in my credit report. I have been trying since then to reach your office but unfortunately was always unsuccessful. It is almost 3+ years and I have tried several times contacting your office and via email but no response.

The collection was regarding PHYSICAL THERAPY for the account

Below is the record I see in my credit report.

INSTITUTION DATE FILED OR FIRST REPORTED COMMENT DATE LAST REPORTED

APEX ASSET MANAGEMENT 04/2008 Collection account. 08/2009

I would sincerely appreciate your help and co-operation in this matter. Please please reply to me whom I can reach to discuss on this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to verify my information and please request the credit collection agencies to correct the billing/delete the information.

May 29, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. On April 23, 2008 T[redacted] utilized our services to place [redacted] for collection regarding an outstanding account balance for date of service September 10, 2007. We sent [redacted] a collection notification that they have been placed for collections. On May , 2009 we received a phone call from [redacted] letting us know that [redacted] had paid this account in full. Apex Asset Management, LLC has never spoken to [redacted] to inform or say this would be removed from their credit file. On March 24, 2014 we received another phone call from our client requesting that this account be removed from [redacted] credit file, and we requested removal on the account that day.Thank you,

Review: On 8/29 I paid a debt to this agency. A person named Dave said it would be taken off my credit record immediately. I called back 2 weeks later and they told me it would take 30 days to remove from the credit records. As of today, it still has not been deleted and I called back and spoke to Windy who then told me it takes from 30 to 90 days!!!!!Desired Settlement: I was assured that this would be taken off twice already, once by Dave (immediately) then by Windy (30 days). NOW I WOULD LIKE THEM TO TAKE IT OFF IMMEDIATELY FROM ALL CREDIT REPORTS, AS IT IS WAY PAST IMMEDIATELY AND 30 DAYS...

Review: On March 8, 2013, Apex Asset Management received my certified letter requesting validation of an account they are attempting to collect ([redacted]). I have not received a response. While they are not required to respond, if they don't respond with proper validation then they are required to cease all collection activity. As of April 10, 2013, they have violated federal and state consumer protection laws. they are still reporting collection accounts on my credit reports. Under federal law, I could sue them and ask for $1000 in damages, since credit bureau reporting is considered a collection activity. However, I am confident that by channeling this dispute through the Revdex.com, a more simple resolution can be made. If they delete the account, cease reporting it to the credit bureaus, I will consider this matter resolved. Thank you.Desired Settlement: If they delete the account and cease reporting to the credit bureaus, I will consider this matter resolved.

Review: received a phone call on 3/21/2013 at approximately 10:00 am. Lady on the phone called and asked for me, said they were calling from Apex regarding a business matter, asked me if this was me and said yes, she wanted me to give her my social, date of birth ,address for verification purposes. I explained I don't even know who you are and why you're calling and you want me to give you all this personal information, no way, explain to me who you're calling on behalf of and they wouldn't, she grew very rude and just wanted to hang up when I asked her questions, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, which I was and the supervisor was just as rude explaining how she wasn't rude and needed to verify the information before going any further, I expressed my feelings about the issue and it didn't seem to matter, she said that by law they are not allowed to disclose information without verifying who I was first. Which is crazy, why would I give you personal information on the phone when I don't even know who you are or what you're calling in reference to. This is not fair business practice and should be dealt with, I am not saying I don't have a matter with someone they represent but Identify who you are and what you're calling in reference to before I give you any personal information. That's an Identity Theft Issue. Anyone that gives their information to you is crazy for doing so. You especially expect me to give you information after being rude on top of it all. I asked for an address she didn't want to give it to me at first stating she would mail a letter out after I asked again she tried to give me a p.o box of [redacted], I asked for a physical address she gave me the following that doesn't match up with what is on file with the Revdex.com, I was given [redacted] not zip was given. Multiple Phone Calls now at 10:01 and again at 10:13am. Who do you think you are talking to me like I'm some kind of deadbeat, you don't know me or my situation, so how about changing your tone, the way you talk to people and more importantly identify your business better.Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me if you're not going to explain your business, you asked for ME after you called MY number, I answered the phone and even corrected you on how you pronounce my name. You had enough information at that point to continue your conversation, you don't need my personal information to continue. Don't bother me anymore, I have received 2 phone calls now back to back from the following number [redacted], at 10:01 am and again at 10:13am. REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST. You should be shut down for your business practices and attitude, like you know my situation that you can talk to me anyway you want to. I will be contacting my Congressman about this situation as well. You work for me not the other way around. You want me to be responsive to your requests after talking to me like crap. I want to see action taken against this company for their business practices.

May 29, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. On November 19, 2013 [redacted] utilized our services regarding an outstanding account balance for [redacted] in regards to date of service July 13, 2013. We received a phone call from [redacted] on December 2, 2013 in regards to this account, [redacted] had told us that he paid this to our client and the check was cashed November 20, 2013. Review: Pulled my credit reports and found entries from Apex Asset Management. I do not recognize this debt nor have I ever been in a business relationship with Apex Asset Management. On 10/23/13 I sent a letter to Apex Asset Management via certified mail with return receipt asking for validation of this debt. I have never received a response from them, yet they continue to report this to the credit agencies. This is in violation of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.Desired Settlement: Removal of the entries on my credit reports with all credit agencies, i.e. Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion

May 29, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. On August 24, 2012 [redacted] utilized our services to place [redacted] for collection regarding an outstanding account balance for date of service April , 2012. We sent [redacted] a collection notification that he was placed into our agency for collections, we also called [redacted] to follow up on the notification with no response. On October 23, 2013 Apex Asset Management, LLC received a letter from [redacted] asking us to send him a letter saying that we would remove this account from his credit file after he paid the debt in full, we do not have a letter stating this information. [redacted] also stated on the letter dated October 23, 2013 he will request a validation of debt if he does not receive the letter he requested. [redacted] then sent Apex Asset Management LLC, an email January 22, 2014 requesting the same letter as he did on October 23, 2013 after reviewing his letters and account information we felt it warranted to send him a Validation of Debt letter and we did so on January 24, 2014. Apex Asset Management LLC, also tried following up with [redacted] via phone call after the letters to inform him that we do not have any said letter but we did not receive any phone calls back.Thank you,

Review: Apex Asset Management has been calling for more than a year about several different situations involving unpaid medical bills for a woman who shares my daughter's name (with a different middle initial) - but has a different birthdate (by over 40 years!) and an address in a different state. It took me less than a minute using google to find the correct person who lives within a few miles of the medical providers with whom the unpaid bills were incurred. I have given this information to Apex multiple times; each time they tell me they will not call again - but they do. I would estimate that I have received upwards of 100 calls from Apex Asset Management in the last year.Desired Settlement: Apex needs to verify its information before it begins harassing individuals who are unrelated to the matters for which they are seeking payment. I consider their repeated calls - often multiple calls in one day - harassment.

Review: I received notice of a debt to [redacted] cable from this group on 06/13/2014 and I called and spoke with [redacted]. At that point I informed him that the account was paid in full and [redacted] cable had cashed the check and I also provided him with the check # (check # [redacted] and [redacted]) he informed that he would contact [redacted] Cable and address the issue. On 06/17/2014 I received another notice that I still owed $34.73 and it also stated that I had made a payment arrangement with [redacted] of Apex Asset. I dod not make any arrangement with him or any other employee of Apex Asset. I then contacted [redacted] Cable and verifed that the bill was paid in full and no money was owed. I then contacted Apex Asset and informed them of the same and sent proof of the debt had been paid in full. June 24, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. On June 3, 2014 [redacted] Cable utilized our service to place [redacted] for collection regarding an outstanding account balance for January 24, 2014. We sent out a notification to [redacted] on June , 2014 and he called our office on June 13, 2014 and informed us that this account was paid in full and if that our client did not report the payment to us by the end of the month he would send us proof of payment. On June 23, 2014 [redacted] faxed and emailed us copies of the canceled checks, and then on June 24, 2014 we verified with our client that this bill was in fact paid in full and the account was marked as such and has been closed. Review: I received a phone call from this company. The message they left did not say who they were calling for only that it was a personal matter. I called back and provided they number they called. They said they were looking for [redacted] regarding a collections matter and I said that was me. She asked me for my date of birth. I told her that I would not provide it because I do not know who she is or why she is calling. She refused to talk to me saying that she could not tell me why she is calling without verifying my date of birth. I do not give out personal information to people given all of the fraud that is going on. She wont tell me why she is calling. I went on their website and there is nothing there. This company is very suspect. What kind of company that is in debt collections doesnt have a website? If someone has verified the name and the number called someone will will tell you why they are calling. If they are really trying to collect a debt from you, they would want to tell you so you can pay it. The other thing is when you call the [redacted] number that the woman left it asks you if you are over 18 and says that it may have a special offer for you. I have never heard of that from a debt collections agency. This company should be investigated. It seems very suspicious. If they are a legitimate agency, then they should provide the information once you have confirmed you are who you are.Desired Settlement: I would like to find out what debt they are calling about. I also would like a phone call from the Revdex.com after they have investigated this company to find out 1) why they are seeking personal information without saying why they are calling; 2) why they have no website; 3) Why their 888 number tries to ask you additional questions and determine if you are eligible for some offer/promotion that is not explained in detail at ALL!!!!!

May 29, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. We sent [redacted] a collection notice that she was placed for collections and then followed up with a phone call on January 22, 2014 and left a message for a return call. [redacted] called us back the next day (we arent 100% sure if it was her without verification). The reason Apex Asset Management, LLC could not discuss any information with her is due to the laws we have to follow, if we would disclose any information without verifying we are speaking to the correct person we could be in violation of the FDCPA that we have to follow and HIPPA due to the fact we are collecting for a medical provider. Since this complaint was originated [redacted] has paid our client [redacted] in full.Thank you,

Review: They call several times a day - to my cell phone - from [redacted] ###-###-####. They do not leave messages. Re: [redacted] ID [redacted]

Review: In May 2013, I had to use an EMT service in [redacted], NJ. They had a billing discrepancy with my insurance company, and opted to bill me directly for this service. My insurance company responded with a letter stating that they are not to bill me for this service - that I am not responsible for payment, and they even included guidelines about billing Medicaid patients: one being that I am not responsible for payment regardless of how my insurance company decides to process the claim, and that by law they are not allowed to bill me for services OR forward my information to a collections agency.

The EMT service decided to forward my information to Apex anyway. When I received a bill from Apex in March 2014, I immediately wrote a letter to them explaining that I have been wrongly billed for the service and that this incompetent EMT company is wasting Apex's time and resources. I included for their reference all the communication with the EMT, and highlighted the above mentioned letter from my insurance company. When I didn't hear from Apex again (no one called to discuss the information I offered them, nor did they bill me again,) I assumed the issue was resolved.

Today I checked my credit score history and found a new item: an outstanding collections debt from Apex that was just recently added! How many ways can I possibly mention that I am not responsible for this payment? I went to the ER that same day and they obviously billed my insurance company properly and had no issue with receiving reimbursement. The EMT company failed to bill my insurance properly, couldn't bully a payment out of me, and now my credit score is suffering because Apex also fails to do the right thing.Desired Settlement: Please remove this outstanding charge from my credit history. I am not responsible for this payment!

June 9, 2014Dear [redacted],Apex Asset Management, LLC is a third party debt collection agency. On February 25, 2014 [redacted] utilized our services to place [redacted] for collection regarding an outstanding account balance for a date of service May , 2013. We received a dispute letter from [redacted] along with information about NY Medicaid[redacted] on March 14, 2014 when we received the letter we did an investigation on the matter at hand. Within doing the investigation we verified that our client [redacted] did submit the claim to [redacted] and they denied the claim with instructions to our client to submit the claim to NY Medicaid but our client does not participate with NY Medicaid due to the fact that they are in New Jersey. Therefore our client [redacted] can bill the patient and it then becomes the patients responsibility to contact NY Medicaid and advise them that she was in Atlantic City New Jersey and they do not cover out of state transportation.Thank you,
