Thank you for your email. In regards to Apex Upholstery and *** *** with the car seats. In the beginning Trevor advised against buying the seat covers that you did. The suggestion was to do it right the first time and buy quality covers from a reputable US supplier rather than buying
the lowest cost product. The covers supplied were from a low cost/low quality supplier and do not guarantee fit as they do not account for the slight seat changes from model to model over the years of the car.The scope of work for this job is 'Install only', therefore we were not contracted for adjustment or fixing to fit. We installed and went above and beyond by adjusting the product for your seats as needed for a best fit. In addition, there was one fly (from the seat cover supplier) that was not long enough to fit the frame that was supplied therefore we took the additional labor and materials (at our cost) to make adjustments to make it fit as you didn’t like the manufacturers product. In the process of taking your seats apart, the brittle year old plastic clips broke. We offered to replace these at our cost to satisfy you as a customer. They are on order and when they come in, we will give them to you. When you picked up your seats for the last time, our staff inspected them for quality before wrapping them in plastic. There were no cuts or damage when they left our facility. You inspected one of the seats yourself. After several days of having the seats you notified us that there was a small cut in the head rest cover. It was not there when the seats left the shop, but to take care of you as the customer, (at our cost) we ordered new head rest covers for you and when they come in, we will give them to you at no costYou were notified by phone around the 8th of December by Melissa. In summary, we have continued to show customer service and diligence to the completion of your project. We have NOT neglected our responsibility to take care of a customer, *** ** ** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** ** *** * *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** We continuously update our customer logs and are compiling them if you ** *** choose to take this further. ** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** * *** *** *** *** *** * *** ** * *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** ***We will fulfill the obligations that we have discussed and reiterated in this email. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I have been told by Apex many times that my "parts" are on order and am still waiting.  I prefer NOT to close this file until I have the CORRECT parts in MY hands(1970 [redacted] Bucket Seat Chrome Seat Back Push Buttons as per the invoice I provided to Apex many months ago as well Sandalwood Head Rest Covers for the same style seat).  [redacted] Ultimately, I would like Apex to finally show some accountability which has not existed from the beginning regardless of what Ryan N[redacted] says.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Work that was promised by phone and email was later rescinded and because I pointed out poor customer service with a suggestion on how to fix it I was subject to verbal abuse by the employee who handles the bidding process.

Review: I hired APEX group to pave the apron of a driveway in front of a 4-plex we own and they didn't pave it up to the curb. At the widest spot the paving stops more than a foot away from the curb on both sides. I've emailed and called quite a few times over the summer; the last time I called was this past weekend, but I didn't even get a call back this time. Maybe it's time to get more serious.Desired Settlement: I'd just like APEX group to finish paving the driveway apron. The sealcoating should also be done before winter sets in which I understand I will pay an additional $250 for.

Response:

On 10/18/2013 we completed a job for [redacted], which she hired us to do an overlay on her existing asphalt. (Please see the attached information, which includes a drawing of what we did per her request.) The area that she is talking about was dirt and weeds and was not part of the bid. The bid was to overlay the existing asphalt. There has been some correspondence back and forth letting her know this: 3/6/14 and on 4/8/14. On the 4/9/14 we told her that we could go and put asphalt down between the asphalt and the concrete curb, but there will be a $300 charge for mobilization and asphalt. (Since April our prices have gone up) . That last correspondence as 4/9/2014 at 1:48pm, letting her know that we could go back up there. As of today we are still waiting to hear back from her. Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help clarify or answer. [redacted] ###-###-####[redacted]

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Revdex.com, I contacted APEX Group right away after the paving was done (10/2013) and once I noticed that the sides of the paving stopped short of the curb. I was told that there was grass and weeds in the way and they only agreed to pave over existing asphalt. They had to remove gravel before paving, so why they didn't go to the curb, I don't know. Everybody knows that debris such as leaves and seeds collect by the curbs and left undisturbed, will grow grass, weeds and even tree sprouts. This is a city block not a driveway in the country. APEX Group states on "Things you should know about your new asphalt" (see attachment) that the sides are weak because of a lack of support. The curbs in this instance will provide support. APEX Group called me this spring to set up an appointment to sealcoat the driveway and I asked again about paving to the curb before applying the sealcoat. I was told that they would do it if I paid an additional $250.00. I argued that this area was part of the original job which I already paid for and that I shouldn't be billed again for them to finish the job correctly. The picture (attached) clearly show lines extending to the curb as the area to be paved. I let it drop over the summer but October 2014 I once again called and left a message on an answering machine with APEX Group asking about finishing the job started last year and wanting to schedule the sealcoating. I never heard back from them. Please let me know if you have trouble opening the attachment.

Regards,

Business
