We have used Apex Heating & Air Conditioning for years and have always had excellent service. They were fast to respond to any issue we had and were very fair in their pricing. I would recommend them for your heating and air conditioning service.

Outstanding service! Simply the best around. Our HVAC system went out in the middle of winter. Apex Heating and Air Conditioning came out same day as our call. They did a full system evaluation with load calculations. They helped us determine the appropriate set up for our size house, and were extremely efficient in the quoting and installation process. The owner was personally involved in overseeing the installation. They were courteous, thorough, and did a great job installing our system. Very warm and engaging service technicians who were very detail oriented in the installation, and did a great job with clean up every day. Having been a customer for over 20 years, I cannot say enough positive things about the services I have received from Apex Heating and Air Conditioning. Because I am on a service agreement with them, help has had to come on very inconvenient occasions like Thanksgiving Day! They have always been prompt in their response and in providing options when needed like a recent request to check the system because I felt the air was not cooling sufficiently. After only two days, it was obvious that a new unit was needed. I so appreciate the service I receive from having the service agreement with them it's like an insurance policy! Too many times I hear people complaining about having to call several companies when they are in a crisis. Perhaps they could become proactive rather than reactive and their lives would be much less of a hassle where heat and a/c are concerned.

Installers were very professional and very knowledgeable about the job. They finished the job and cleaned up the area even though it rained for most of the installation. I would highly recommend Apex Heating. ","pos-3

Charged $750 for one hour of work. Said they are a flat rate company.. Attorneys who defend movie stars bill at $750 hour. Buyer beware . I will never use them again and will never recommend them to anyone other than someone who enjoys being ripped off. ","neg-1

Compliant: Repair service quality and customer service. AC unit repair was not properly diagnosed.Apex H&AC has serviced my HVAC units for more than 10 years. This compliant is regarding the recent service repair provided and the quality of customer service. Here's the list of service calls for the same unit and the same problem, the unit was not cooling.1.In June 2014, I called Apex H&AC because the unit not cooling. The technician diagnosed that the TXV was defective and replaced the TXV valve. 2.In Sept. 2104 I called Apex H&AC regarding the same unit for which the TXV was replaced because it was not cooling. The technician stated that the unit was low on refrigerant because the previous technician did not secure the cap. The technician added refrigerant and did not provide an invoice. Because no invoice was provided Apex H&AC office manager stated that they had no knowledge of this service call.3.May XX XXXX, I called Apex H&AC regarding the same unit for which the TXV was replaced because it was not cooling. The technician stated that the unit probably has a leak but he was not able to detect the leak. The technician replaced the refrigerant and did not provide an invoice. Because no invoice was provided Apex Heating and Air Conditioning office manager stated that they had no knowledge or record of this service call. May 10, was the first time that I turned on the unit in 2015.4.Aug. 21, 2015, I called Apex H&AC regarding the same unit for which the TXV was replaced because it was not cooling. The technician had to wait until the ice on the unit melted. I informed the technician of the May 12, 2015 service call. He stated that there was no record of the service call. On August 24, 2015, the technician diagnosed a leak in the evaporator coil and stated that the part was under warranty and quoted cost for repair.The technician stated that he spoke to the technician who came out in May 2015 and that technician acknowledged that he came out and did not detect the leak and he added refrigerant and did not create an invoice for the service call.5.Aug. 25, the install manager called per my request regarding my concern regarding the service repair. He stated that TXV valve is not related at all to a coil leak. He also stated that coil leak is a common problem for AC units for all manufacturers. We asked me what I wanted to be done to resolve my concern. He stated that he would speak with the manager and call me.6.As of Sept. 1, 2015, one week since I spoke with the install manager, he has not called as he stated.7.On Sept. 1, 2015 after not hearing from the install manager, I called Apex H&AC and was told that the install manager is out of town until Thursday and I could call back when he returns or he can be given a message. The person who answered the phone also asked if I was given a quote for repair. I acknowledge that I was given a quote for repair but was expecting a call from the install manager. She also stated but the install manager spoke with the owner but she would let the install manager deliver the message.My concerns are:1.The unit has not worked properly after replacing the TXV valve since the unit required refrigerant 3 times since the TXV was replaced. It required refrigerant in Sept. 2014, 3 months the TXV value was replaced, May 2105 and Aug. 2105.2.The problem was not properly diagnosed in June 2015 when the TXV value was replaced because the unit continued to require refrigerant in order to cool properly.[redacted] state that a coil leak is a common problem yet the technician was unable to diagnose the problem in May 2105 and likely did not properly diagnose the problem when the TXV value was replaced.4.Apex HAC does not keep records of technician dispatched to service calls or record all activities for an account. Their position is that they are unable to validate that a technician was dispatched in Sept. 2014 and May 2015 to add refrigerant to the unit. So, it gives the false appearance that no service call was placed nor refrigerant added.5.Poor customer service; waiting for callback.Desired SettlementI am looking for a credit adjustment for the repair of the coil leak.Business Response /[redacted]/Ms [redacted],no doubt we understand your frustration. Our service technicians goal was to diagnose your issue and find a solution in a timely manner. Please understand that the TXV issue and the leaking coil issue were totally unrelated. As discussed, we do hope the credit adjustment for your current repair will offset your previous costs as a solution to this issue. We look forward to a continued successful business relationship.Consumer Response /[redacted]/consumer called to say issue is resolved.

I have been calling on Apex Heating and Air since 2005. They always seemed to be fair so when I needed HVAC service I would call them. In June of this year when the weather was in the 90s for about 2 weeks and even hit 100 our AC compressor seized.
I asked them to come out and they discovered the AC compressor issue. I asked for an estimate to replace the unit and received one before the tech left. I thought it was high. When expressing this concern to [redacted] the tech, his comment was I must be out of touch on what these things cost these days? Actually, I am very much in tune with these costs since my mother in-law and sister both had HVAC systems replaced in the last 2 years.
I put a call into Apex Heating and Air and asked to speak with [redacted] who is the owner. We exchanged calls but never did talk about my concerns of why their estimate was almost $2000 more than the company I went with? [redacted] told me in a phone conversation that the only thing she could think of was the company I went with must have done the labor for nothing? Why would they do this? There is no reason for a $2000 difference in price other than taking advantage. The company I used is a Carrier/Payne authorized dealer with a 10 year warranty.

They are always available and have provided us with exactly what we need for our heating and air-conditioning. Doing business with Apex Heating and Air is always a pleasure at a great price.
