As soon as we received notice of this complaint we contacted [redacted] who said he was busy and would call me back. I didn't receive a call back and after a couple days later I was in his neighborhood so I decided to stop by his house and talk...

about anything I could help him with. Again I had no success talking with [redacted] and so I called his cell and left another message. It's been an additional two days later and still no reply.
To be quite honest Apex is not without fault and for that I have compensated Dusty by billing less than what was agreed upon. On November 13, 2015 upon collecting last payment, [redacted] complained about a myriad of reasons and said he wouldn't pay what we were billing and settled on paying us a lesser amount. We shook hands and parted as friends.
Weeks later we got the notice that [redacted] had filed a complaint, but I'm not at sure why. It was my understanding that because of the discount, the extra work we did for no cost, plus the additional money which was in excess of 10 thousand dollars that I was able to get for [redacted] from his insurance company that [redacted] was happy.
In [redacted] complaint he stated that he wants anyone who might do business with Apex to know our practices and so for the record:
It is Apex's intent to serve our customers with all integrity and we aim to meet or surpass our promises. Apex on occasion, if appropriate, fights insurance company's which often results in a benefit to Apex and also our customers. We often show our customers 10's of thousands of dollars that their insurance company had originally missed. because of our expertise and work, our customers are become the benefactors and we also are benefited by helping others. This was the case with [redacted] claim who was awarded in excess of $10,000 that their insurance company had not originally awarded. In this case only Dusty benefited and I was happy for him simply because he is our customer.
Although Apex will work for our customers to get all that is coming to them, we will not commit fraud for the benefit of Apex or its customers. We are very grateful for every one of our customers but we are also grateful for the carriers which we daily work with. We recognize that if it were not for both, Apex would not be in business.
We have witnessed on a few cases opportunists who not only want to be made whole after a storm but also want to pocket some extra money. If that means lying to an insurance company then Apex will not be involved.
As already stated [redacted] and Apex has already settled for significant less than what was due Apex. I have made attempts to find out why the complaint as filed but have not heard any response.
