Horrible experience with Apex Roofing (Pelham)! Corbin, their zealous sales rep, way over promises what they can do and for how muchThe manager will follow up with a shocking but more realistic picture (or so you think)Apex didn't do what they promised, nor did they heed my requestWe were selling our home and they left supplies and mess for days, making it much more difficult to properly show our home Apex advertises that they are great at picking up all the roofing nailsWRONG! Nails were everywhere and we picked them up ourselves for several daysApex Roofing never fulfilled key items listed for repair on the contractMonths later, after I sold my home, they ask for an additional financial supplement payment that totals over $(An amount almost a third the signed contract) Without any previous notice they send me a first-time Invoice with this additional amountAnd they send it days before Christmas (and they give me ten days to come up with the $5000.00)This was for a roof that was put on in April I'm so shocked I keep thinking this has to be a misunderstandingBut to date (this is going on right now) it's more like a bad dream I can't get out ofMy roof was damaged by hail back in AprilI just wanted a new roofMy insurance company came out and said the fair cost to replace itApex said they could do all that [redacted] had listed for even a bit lower than the [redacted] estimateAll lies! Read the Apex contract carefullyIt says down at the bottom they can add a supplement fee (I guess for any amount they want and without notifying you in advance of why and for how much) How can someone be charged multiple thousands of dollars more than the signed contract with no notice or explanationHow can their cost be a third higher than what the insurance company says is fair and what they themselves said they could do it for???? I will never use this company againIf you can't keep your word you have nothing!

Apex is such a good companyI called because I had a small leakThey gave me a free inspection and it turns out my roof had a LOT of hail damage not visible from the ground They worked with my insurance company, and in a short amount of time, I had a brand new roof, only paying my deductibleI am a construction manager myself, and they did a grade A jobI was super impressed with their workmanship and professionalismThe owner Grant R [redacted] personally went out of his way to make sure my family and I were taken care ofHis office staff is the best!!!

I wrote the previous "Beware" complaint In the end, I will gladly resume recommending Apex RoofingGrant made me half crazy, but he was methodical, genuine and hell bent to get it done to my complete satisfaction!! Thank you Apex Team!!!

I guess I should've looked on this website first before choosing APEX to see that 75% of reviews are negative They canvased my neighborhood after a hail storm and that's how I came across them Overall, the roof is good and exactly what I expected My insurance issued me an initial check for the first portion, instructing me to have the roofing company submit invoices for the remaining portions after the job was done The job was completed in September 2017--- I just got the 2nd check last week (MARCH 2018) Yeah--- months later I emailed folks at APEX intermittently nearly every month during this wait, and received run around and "yeah, I'll check to make sure those invoices are submitted." Weeks passno check Email again, "yeah I'll make sure that gets done." Weeks passno check What's the most ridiculous is that when they completed the job, the rep acted surprised when I wrote him a check for the full amount of the job He asked if I wanted to just write him a check for the amount the insurance had given me, and I could pay the rest when the 2nd check came in I thought this was crazy, as I was raised to pay for anything in full I would've thought that paying folks in full would be treated with prompt resolution of the billing process as a thank you Guess not In retrospect, I should have only paid the initial portion, and the unresolved payment would've been motivation for APEX to actually carry out the process of completing the claim I'm not saying not to use APEX- they'll put a good roof on your house, and super fast But I highly recommend leveraging balances pending claim submissions instead of paying in full It's clear they need some reminding of whose claims they haven't completed after the client has paid in full The only way I got this resolved was by contacting my insurance agent a few times who reached out to APEX to get the needed documents to complete the claim and issue my 2nd check Royal pain in the butt, but nonetheless it's resolved now (thanks to my persistent and patient knocking at the door for half a year)

Apex offered me a free roof inspection upon which they found a great deal of damage that I was completely unaware of! I immediately contacted my insurance company while Apex assisted me every step of the way making the process as smooth and simple as possible for meThey started on the roof immediately upon approval and did an excellent job! Everyone I encountered from Apex was friendly and professional and went above and beyond! A special thanks to Beau and Cody for simplifying everything and helping me a get my new roof for FREE!

Warranty not being honored
After our roof and master bedroom was repaired from hail damages, our roof start leaking after the original repairs were completedThe roof leak has been repaired but the damage to our master bedroom ceiling has not been repaired
My wife has called several times and we also wrote a letter to Apex dated September 27, but no one has contacted us with a repair date and time
We just want to know when will our master bedroom be repairedApex hired the paint contractors that made the original repairs to our master bedroom

I.ask for one kind of roof and I receive another I called the office to make a complaint the manager came out and gave me a discount but I'm still very disappointed with the roof that I haveThe salesman's was very apologetic they let me know that says do not listen to the customer only have feed their pockets.he was to busy to listen to my need because they just land a apartment complex I would never ever let apex in my home again

I signed a contract to have my roof replaced on 04-15-2016.*** told me we were about three weeks out.Four and a half weeks later still no roof

I set an appointment with this company out of their Mobile ALOffice and the guy never showedThe next day he calls me we set another appointment,and again he doesn't show up or callI myself find this to be very disrespectful and irresponsibleIf I owned Apex Roofing I wouldn't stand for one of my offices treating my customers like thatYet if I owned Apex Roofing I'd have my personal contact on my company website so that my customers can contact me when there is a problemYet I do not own Apex Roofing and I am sure that Apex managers are glad of that because I'd fire each and every one of them for not reperesenting my company's mission statement

Paid for contracted roof flashing work that was not performedDid not discover until squirrels found in attic
Apex installed a new roof last August under contract that also included installing flashing over all areas where squirrels could enter atticIn January I heard noises in the attic and called our pest control company who came out to find squirrels in atticWhile here the pest control person found that an approximately 40' area did not have flashing installed and was large enough for squirrels to easily enterHe stated the opening was large enough that he could clearly see our gutters through the opening from the atticHe also could not state with certainty that any portion of the roof had flashing installedThere was also evidence of chewed wiring, which I had repaired

Roof is bubbling up after repairI have called sales person multiple times and had no one return my issue
Apex roofing repaired my roofThe roof is now bubbling up and not laying properlyI have contacted the sales person on mulitple times with him telling he would contact the office and have them contact me which has not happenedThey also left debris nails and wood chips throughout my attic covering my ac unit and the entire ceiling

This company sent the wrong shingles first time Sent wrong color next which was installed as I know nothing about roofing(I am in my 80's) I not only had a bad leak but reported it to Apex on 9-19-with their response 'someone' would get back to me As of this date I have not had any contact with this company I called another company to have it fixed As you know we just had a hurricane and have had more than average rain My old roof did not leak but had hail damage One employee was persistent with calling times on one Sunday, he also referred me to *** who was suppose to make sure the roof met the specifications of Bronze Star which he said it did and then the leak Who was doing their job? or NOT doing their jobIt cost me $to get another roofer out here to repair the shoddy workmanship I had a damaged window, which Apex paid for, they paid for a solar panel as they installed a Charcoal roof, (which draws heat) the shingles are suppose to be an upgrade I ask them to leave a bundle for me, they did but it was the wrong colorThey delivered the wrong color to my neighbor which because of my mix up we checked hers, she refused the color and is still waiting for the right colorIts been several months
They actually left one quarter of space on one of the gables which caused the leak The inspector missed this as he did not go in the attic where you could see outside thru the holes I made the mistake of referring two of my neighbors to Apex and they also have had problems with the company They have roofed three houses in this neighborhood and had three problems One Lady ended up contacting the Birmingham office to get satisfactory results which took months to finish her roof
My roof was expensive almost $20, So they are expensive I am sorry I did not get bids but they came recommended by a neutral person who had not used themPlease get bids before you use this company
